Mentally Disabled Children Parents Society Under The Perspective Of Social Work Study Support Service Practice

The disabled is a special vulnerable group in the society,which needs special care from the society.Children with mental retardation are the disadvantaged groups of the disabled,and they need to pay more attention and help from the community.Because of the problems of mental retardation,they not only restrict their normal life and growth,but also bring great economic and mental burden to their families and parents.They live in helpless or even under the weight of the pressure,they urgently need to achieve the necessary support and help of outside.As instructed by altruism,the social work pecifically to help vulnerable groups to solve the problem of life,to help the poor social system,with "self-help" values and professional working methods of humanistic solicitude,a network in the construction of social support for parents of mentally retarded children,the link of social resources,has the incomparable the major advantage of inspiring and enhancing the resilience of mentally retarded children's family.On the basis of social support theory and the resilience theory,take the special schools in Daqing city as an example,we randomly selected 70 parents of mentally retarded children as the research object,according to the questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview,the basic situation and demand status of parents and children were investigated,mentally retarded children of parents in the basic survival,emotional communication skills,education and rehabilitation training,child care,information support,interpersonal communication and social integration and other aspects of the problems and needs are evaluated.According to the group work and community work practice,they form parents of children with intellectual disabilities group and resilience group,aiming at providing social support to parents of mentally retarded children and building social support networks to parents of children with intellectual disabilities,enhancing their resilience to target group activities.Group activities help children with mental retardation to overcome their inferiority complex,enhance the ability to resist adverse reactions,and learn to take care of children with mental retardation.At the same time,taking community as a platform,integrating of social resources,the government and the community improve the social security system,construction of the “two social workers”lead the linkage of the intervention mode and the "three agency linkage" under the guidance of the coordinate normalization,provide social support,emotional support,material support and service support for the parents of mentally retarded children,parents of mentally retarded children build a social support network,dig the parents of mentally retarded children's potential,improve their own resilience,for parents of children with intellectual disabilities empowerment,so as to make it out of the plight of life,improve the quality of family life,and promote social harmony.
