The continuous deepening of aging has brought huge challenges to the development of the new era.How to achieve a sense of support and support for the elderly has become a major livelihood issue.Against the backdrop of increasingly prominent elderly care issues in China,this study uses professional methods of group work to build a mutual assistance and support platform for the elderly living alone in resettlement communities.Promote the social participation of elderly individuals living alone through group activities,and construct their own social support network through social participation,in order to achieve mutual assistance in elderly care.By providing mutual assistance and elderly care to meet the companionship,care,and safety needs of solitary elderly people,we can alleviate their sense of loss and improve their sense of happiness in life.At the same time,this study adopts the perspective of advantages,not only treating the elderly living alone as service recipients,but also exploring the advantages of the elderly living alone as a human resource during the research process.In the research process,the author used questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to collect data and assess the needs of the elderly living alone,and used group work methods to intervene in the construction of social support networks for the elderly living alone in demolition and resettlement communities.The study revealed that the social support network for the elderly in the demolition and resettlement communities was not only a social support network for the elderly but also a social support network for the elderly.The study revealed that the elderly living alone in the demolition and resettlement community have a need for companionship and community participation.In response to these needs,the group work was guided by social support theory and activity theory,and strictly adhered to the ethical principles of social work,and combined professional theory with professional skills to build an informal support network for the elderly living alone,and to help the elderly living alone to achieve mutual help in their old age.After the group activities,the evaluation showed that the objective support,subjective support and use of support scores of the group members had all increased compared to the pre-test,with the main dimension of social support being subjective support and objective support increasing relatively little.The results of the study show that group activities are effective in the use of mutual care for the elderly living alone,that the construction of social support networks has a positive effect on the realisation of mutual care for the elderly living alone,that participation in social activities can improve the sense of well-being of the elderly living alone,that mutual care can realise the self-worth of the elderly living alone,and that mutual care is effective in solving the difficulties of the elderly living alone.At the same time,in the process of promoting mutual care,attention should be paid to revitalising community resources,improving the quality of the human resources team,and enhancing communication and collaboration between all parties.In conclusion,more scholars and professionals are needed to explore the ways in which social work can intervene in mutual care for the elderly living alone. |
