| Mathematics textbooks are important resource for mathematics learning,and Chapter Summary is the finishing touch in the book.This article takes the American Glencoe Math(Course1-3)mathematics textbooks and the domestic Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press mathematics textbooks(7-9)as the research objects,from the three dimensions of presentation content,presentation mode and text capacity,to the textbook as a whole and different content Text analysis in the field.In order to compare the characteristics of the two chapters in detail,focus on the content of the function,and then comprehensively consider the opinions of students on the chapter summary,and make suggestions for the preparation of junior middle school mathematics textbooks in China.The following conclusions are obtained through comparative studies:From the perspective of the textbook as a whole:(1)the content of the presentation,the two versions of the summary are more consistent,and the number is in order of knowledge,application,reflection and structure;(2)In terms of presentation,the problem items and non-problem items of the Jiangsu science version are not much different,and the problem items focus on the textual style with leading words,while Glencoe Math focuses on the illustrated problem items without guiding words,and the non-problematic items are few;(3)In terms of text capacity,the Jiangsu science version is lower than Glencoe Math,but the knowledge is more comprehensive.From the perspective of different content areas:(1)In the presentation of content,the two editions of the summary both focus on combing knowledge,but in the "statistics and probability",the Jiangsu science version of the applied items accounted for more than Glencoe Math,but the knowledge items accounted for slightly lower;(2)In terms of presentation,the characteristics of the two versions of the summary are basically consistent with the whole.Among them,in the content of "number and algebra",the use of charts by the two versions of the summary is significantly less;(3)In contrast,Glencoe Math’s layout of each content is more balanced than the Jiangsu science version.Among them,in the "statistics and probability",the summary of the two editions is relatively rich.Focusing on the content of the function,we can see that in the presentation content,the Jiangsu science version has a more comprehensive and profound knowledge summary,and thinking deeply about the relationship between the function and the equation and inequality,while Glencoe Math only involves the representation method of the function;in the presentation method,due to the abstraction of the function content Sexuality,the Jiangsu science version has more introductory phrases,and the problems are more clear,and Glencoe Math is well illustrated,leaving students with more room for thinking;the text capacity is consistent with the overall characteristics.Through the investigation of students,we can see that the vast majority of students prefer a summary method with rich thinking,comprehensive knowledge summary,and content related to the relationship between knowledge.The reasons for making choices mostly involve the content and content of the chapter summary.Conciseness,content breadth,thinking content and graphic richness.Finally,some suggestions for textbook writing and teachers ’use of textbooks:(1)Improve the density and autonomy of the framework;(2)Richly summarize ideas and methods,and summarize the difficulties and difficulties of this chapter;(3)Summarize the staged changes in presentation methods,Improve the liveliness. |
