This study is another exploration of "suitable education".Based on the understanding of students’ learning styles,it seeks for teachers’ teaching methods that match them,specifically,the way teachers express their emotions,explores the influence of the matching between the two on students’ learning,and pays attention to the moderating effect of academic emotion on this influence.It is divided into two sub-studies.In the first study,191 new students of an experimental middle school students in Shandong province were investigated by questionnaire and experiment.To explore the influence of teachers’ emotional expression and learning style on learning effect,the study took a two-factor between subject design by 2(teachers’ emotional expression: passion type,peaceful type)x 3(students’ learning style: empirical,noetic,rational).On the basis of study 1,191 students were investigated by using the questionnaire on academic emotion of adolescents,to explore the moderating effect of academic emotion on the effect of teachers’ emotional expression and students’ learning style on learning effect.Results are as follows:(1)Teachers’ emotional expression and students’ learning style can interact to affect learning effect.Rational students have the best learning effect when receiving emotional expression from calm teachers,while emotional students have the best learning effect when receiving emotional expression from passionate teachers.(2)Teachers’ emotional expression and students’ learning style can interact to affect learners’ learning satisfaction.The teaching of emotional expression by teachers of passion type can obtain higher level of satisfaction from other students(noetic type and empirical type)except rational students,and for rational students,there was no significant difference in students’ satisfaction with the emotional expression teaching of the passionate and calm teachers.(3)Academic emotion plays a regulating role in the influence of teachers’ emotional expression and students’ learning style on learning effect.For the students with positive academic emotion,there is no significant difference in learning effect between the teachers’ emotional expression teaching with matching learning styles and the teaching with mismatching learning styles.For the students with negative academic emotion,the learning effect of the teachers’ emotional expression teaching with matching learning styles is significantly better than that of the mismatched teaching.Conclusions:(1)The matching of teaching methods and learning styles can help students learn better.Therefore,it is beneficial to develop "suitable education" to fully understand the learning characteristics of students and adjust the teaching methods of teachers according to the characteristics of students.(2)The role of students’ academic emotion in learning should not be ignored.When the teaching method and learning style cannot match,the students’ negative academic emotion should be fully paid attention to and adjusted to achieve better learning effect.
