Investigation On The Status Quo Of Community Service In University Libraries In Shandong Province And Its Countermeasures

In this ever-changing era,the demand for information resources in the entire society has exploded.The governance of the government requires scientific decision-making,the marketing and development of the enterprise needs to obtain intelligence information,and scientific research personnel need more cutting-edge information for scientific research projects.The personal life,work,and study also need to be continuously recharged.The university library has a unique advantage in the aspects of resources,talents and facilities,can actively service for the area where the government,enterprises and residents,but also in the local social development,economic growth,cultural construction and the development of science and technology play an important role.Foreign university libraries have made outstanding contributions in the development of communities,and have fully played the functions of their community services,which is worth learning from our university libraries.Through community service,the university library has improved the utilization of resources,promoted the professional quality and service ability of the librarians,and promoted the harmonious development of the community.The university library in Shandong province should give full play to its own role and better serve the government,enterprises and residents in the community,satisfy the needs of information resources in the political,economic,cultural,and ecological development of the community and make university libraries a well-known “knowledge hub”.The first chapter of this paper mainly introduces the background information about the current situation of community service and the research on countermeasures in university library of Shandong province,and makes a summary of the social services and community services of the university libraries at home and abroad,and makes clear the research content,the research method and the research innovation points.The second chapter summarizes the specific definition of the community service in the university library,explores the theoretical basis of the community service in the university library,and analyzes the necessity of the community service in the university library.The third chapter mainly investigates the present situation of community service in 44 public university libraries in Shandong province.The investigation includes the open situation of community service,the object of community service,the content of community service,the community service system,the effect of community service and the reasons for the lack of community service in some colleges and universities.The results of the survey are directly reflected in the form of charts.Through the previous investigation and analysis,the problems existing in the community service of university libraries in Shandong province are analyzed and the reasons for the problems are explored.The fourth chapter analyzes the present situation of community service in foreign university libraries,summarizes the characteristics of the community service in foreign university libraries,and provides experience for the community service of university libraries in Shandong Province.The fifth chapter is based on the problems existing in the college libraries of Shandong province proposed in the previous article,and on the basis of learning advanced foreign experience,it summarizes the countermeasures to improve the community service of university libraries in Shandong province.The first is to change ideological concepts and enhance service awareness.The second is to focus on service quality and increase the degree of openness.The third is to improve the protection mechanism and motivate service forces.The fourth is to encourage joint development and achieve resource sharing.The fifth is to broaden the publicity channel and advocate the participation of the whole people.The sixth chapter makes a summary of the investigation and countermeasures of the present situation of community service in Shandong university library,and analyzes the shortage of the research and the prospect of the future related research.It is hoped that the future community service of University Libraries in Shandong province can achieve better results.
