In recent years, the overall level of financial development has been increasing continuously in our country, but the phenomenon of financial exclusion is still widespread. It not only is more noticeable in backward areas, but also exists in developed areas.Financial exclusion restrains the development of economy, cause the imbalances of regional economic development, and is not beneficial to coordinated development of social economy. The degree of financial exclusion in different regions is not the same, and one area's financial exclusion has different influence degree to intra-regional economic growth and inter-regional economic growth. Therefore, this paper studies the effect of financial exclusion on economic growth from the space perspective, trying to provide targeted suggestions to solve financial exclusion problems and promote coordinated development of regional finance and economy.Firstly,Based on the research results at home and abroad, the paper expounds the mechanism of spatial spillover effects of financial exclusion on regional economic growth. The paper's theory and the research is based on the theory of Financial Structuralism and Financial Repression, which recognize that greatly financial development has a positive effect on economic growth, and poorly financial development can inhabit economic growth. Then by using Chinese provincial panel data from 2000 to2015,measure the financial exclusion degree of every province firstly. Then build geographical distance weight matrix, and examine the spatial correlation of regional economic growth by Moran index method.Next using spatial regression model partial derivatives, study spatial spillover effects of financial exclusion on regional economic growth, and decompose spatial spillover effect into into intra-regional spillover effect and inter-regional spillover effect. Finally,According to theoretical and empirical results, put forward countermeasures ad suggestions of solving regional problems of financial exclusion. The results show that spatial correlation plays a significant role in regional economic growth.Financial exclusion has negative spillover effect on intra-regional economic growth and inter-regional economic growth. The task of the paper is not just to analyze the effect of financial exclusion on direction and size of economic growth.Themore important is to prove that financial exclusion has an negative effect not only on intra-regional economic growth, but also on inter-regional economic growth.Financial exclusion should not be ignored,so solve regional problems of financial exclusion actively and promote the coordinated development of regional finance in order to realize the coordinated development of regional economy finally. The innovation of the paper is to use Spatial Regression Model Partial Derivatives to investigate spatial spillover effects of financial exclusion on regional economic growth from the perspective of region. It is the beneficial exploration and try to the existing space measurement theory and method.
