Through nearly 20 years of intense investment,Guangdong's traffic has been relatively perfect. So,is it reasonable for us to continue to invest in traffic? If we continue to invest heavily in traffic, will it reduce or even inhibit the rapid growth of economic. At the same time, the development level of traffic and economic growth in different regions of Guangdong is differently distributed. The economic development level of the Pearl River Delta region is obviously higher than that of the non-Pearl River Delta region with relatively different traffic endowments. So,whether the impact of traffic on different regions is different or not, whether can we find a way for relatively backward non-Pearl River Delta region to keep pace with the economic development in the Pearl River Delta region through the study of the impact of mechanism between transport and economic growth.Whether can we take effective traffic policy measures to promote the non-Pearl River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region to form an integrated coordinated and rationalized development. In the face of these problems, this paper attempts to study the impact of traffic in Guangdong Province on economic growth through the general panel model, time lag model and spatial spillover model.Through the analysis of the common panel model of Guangdong Province,Pearl River Delta and non-Pearl River Delta, the direct effect of traffic on economic growth and the local spillover effect are studied, and the influence on different regions is analyzed.Through the time lag model, this paper analyze the time series of traffic and economic development of the law. Finally, the space spillover model is used to study the spatial spillover effect of traffic. It is found that, firstly, the direct effect of Guangdong traffic on economic growth is positive, while the local spillover effect is negative, indicating that the contribution of Guangdong traffic to the promotion of regional economic growth is declining.Furthermore research on different regions shows that the impact of traffic in the Pearl River Delta region on regional economic growth is mainly a direct effect,in the non-Pearl River Delta region is mainly the local spillover effect on other industry sector.Secondly, through the analysis of the lag effect of traffic and regional economic growth, this paper finds that the input and development of traffic will increase the efficiency of social output and increase the regional economic growth rate within four years. After four years, the impact of growth is weakened.Thirdly, the spatial spillover effect of Guangdong traffic on regional economic growth is positive, and the impact of traffic on regional economic growth will underestimate without considering the effect of space spillover on regional economic growth. It is recommended that the focus of investment development in the Pearl River Delta region should be shifted to other industries other than traffic. At the same time, traffic investment in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and northern Guangdong should be strengthened to strengthen the traffic construction in these areas and promote regional economic growth in this region.Promote its economic ties with the developed areas of the Pearl River Delta, and then form the economic integration in province, improve the coordination of Guangdong's economic development. At the same time, incline policy on the non-Pearl River Delta region, promote the transfer of some industries in the Pearl River Delta region to eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and northern Guangdong, and promote the economic development of the non-Pearl River Delta region and narrow the differences with the Pearl River Delta region.
