Measurement And Evaluation Of Rural Tourism Efficiency In Fujian Province

Fujian province is rich in rural tourism resources.And the introduction of "Fresh Fujian" provides a good opportunity for the development of rural tourism in Fujian Province.The measurement and evaluation of rural tourism efficiency in Fujian Province will provide the theoretical foundation for the scientific,high efficiency and high output investment of rural tourism resources exploitation in Fujian.Meanwhile,it will also provide scientific resources allocation method for Fujian province to improve the development of rural tourism in Fujian Province and then the rapid development of rural economy.This research systemic analyzed the progress and achievements of rural tourism and tourism efficiency by adopting data envelopment analysis and related VRS and CRS model,we build the indicator system of rural tourism efficiency evaluating which include the input and output indicators.The input indicators include the disposable income of urban residents and the density of highway network while the output indicators include the general income rural tourism and the overall number of rural tourists.We come to a conclusion base on the measurement and evaluation research of rural tourism efficiency in every city of Fujian province from 2014 to 2016 as below:(1)Rural tourism efficiency in every city of Fujian province are at high level and keep increasing in general.(2)The returns to scale of rural tourism efficiency in every city of Fujian province increase progressively in general.In the past,the research on the efficiency of tourism mainly focused on the efficiency of urban development,urban tourism,and individual scenic spots and so on while the efficiency of rural tourism was hardly seen.The measurement and evaluation research on rural tourism efficiency is new.And there is no research on the evaluation of rural tourism efficiency in every city all over the province based on data envelopment analysis.Rural tourism is an economy system related to many industries.Quantitative measurement and evaluation of the rural tourism efficiency based on data envelopment analysis and related VRS and CRS model in every city of Fujian province have great improvement compare with other researches before.
