Research On The Industrial Upgrading Of Shandong Textile Industry Under The Global Value Chain

Shandong province has a long history of textile industry,Shandong province is currently one of the few large textile Province,also has several large domestic and foreign well-known textile company.With the international transfer of textile industry in the 90 s of last century,Shandong textile industry joined the international division system of textile industry and merge into the global value chain of textile industry by undertaking textile processing and manufacturing links.Shandong province make the textile industry get further development by the advantage of a lot of cheap labor force.But the processing and manufacturing sectors in the global value chain of the textile industry is very low value-added sectors,which belonging to the governance of the value chain.While R&D design and brand marketing are the links of high added value.These parts are occupied by the enterprises which grasp the core technology of textile industry,strong brand advantage and marketing channel in developed countries.Therefore,although the total volume of the economy has been increasing after decades of development in Shandong textile industry,the economic benefits obtained by the textile industry are still not high compared with those of the developed countries.In recent years,with the increase of labor price,the increase of raw material cost and the export pressure brought by RMB appreciation,the textile industry of Shandong province is in the predicament of development so that the upgrading of industry is urgent.This article is advancing step by step,which points out the problems existing in the textile industry in Shandong province through the analysis of the development history of textile industry in Shandong province and the current development of textile industry in Shandong province is analyzed in a large amount of data.These problems,to a large extent,are also an obstacle to the higher position of the textile industry in Shandong province to a higher position of value chain.At the same time,the paper analyzes the three mechanisms of Shandong's textile industry upgrading.On this basis,it puts forward the multiple paths of Shandong textile industry upgrading according to the industry characteristics of the leading enterprises in Shandong textile industry and the small and medium-sized enterprises as the main body.Then,the paper introduced the country contrast analysis method,and analyzed the development course the track of industrial upgrading of Japanese textile industry.Finally,the paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations according to the upgrading mechanism and path mentioned above,as well as the development history of Japanese textile industry in order to ensure the reality and systematicness of the corresponding policies.In this paper,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are used in the research process.This paper has reviewed the statistical yearbook of Shandong province,the statistical database of the textile industry of China research network,the statistical data of Shandong and China customs,and the United Nations commodity trade database.Based on the analysis of the scale,production value,technology and brand construction of textile industry in Shandong province,this paper calculates the dominant comparative advantage index and intra-industry trade index of textile industry in Shandong province.It has been found through research that that value chain of textile industry in Shandong province is unreasonable and the specialization degree of participation in international division of labor is low,which is the key reason why Shandong textile is unable to obtain global value chain.It reveals the necessity and urgency of Shandong textile industry to realize industrial upgrading as soon as possible.
