Poverty is the long-term challenge facing the development of human civilization. In China, the party and the government have always put poverty alleviation in the top priority.Since the reform and opening up,China's anti-poverty cause has made great achievements. At present, poverty control has entered the final stage of reducing poverty. The theory of human capital provides an important perspective for poverty reduction research in rural areas. The level of human capital in the rural population is related to its ability to obtain income.Especially for rural women, raising their human capital levels because of their special family roles is significant for families to reduce poverty.Based on Schultz's theory of human capital and related poverty theories, the paper uses the survey data of farmers in 14 poor villages in GANSU Province organized by the Business School of Northwest Normal University in 2016 to analyze the relationship between rural female human capital and their household livelihoods. It is found that female human capital levels in poor villages were generally low,and the lower of female human capital levels is,The higher of family poverty incidence was.On this basis, using the EVIEWS software, from the aspects of absolute poverty of farmer households and relative poverty of farmer households,an empirical analysis was made of the influence of female human capital and other factors on the poverty reduction of farmers and the relative poverty of rural households. The empirical results show that female education level and skill level have a significant positive impact on poverty reduction for farmers. The non-agricultural operations of households, the type of agricultural crops planted, the per capital arable land area of the labor force, and the family's subsistence allowance for low-income families have also had a significant positive impact on household poverty reduction.Labor burden, education and medical expenditure have a significant negative impact on poverty reduction for rural households. The education level of women has a significant positive effect on alleviating the relative poverty between low-income and middle-income groups. The educational level of offspring has a significant positiveeffect on alleviating the relative poverty between low-income and high-income rural households, and has a significant negative impact on alleviating relative poverty in middle-income and high-income groups.Farmers' non-agricultural income and crop planting types have a significant negative impact on the relative poverty of middle-income and high-income rural households. The increase in family education and medical care consumption and the breeding of livestock are conducive to alleviating the relative poverty between middle-income and high-income groups, and for low-income farmers. It will increase its relative poverty with middle-income groups. Finally, according to the conclusions of the previous analysis, corresponding improvement suggestions for farmers and government policies are proposed.
