Research On The Anti-dumping And Countervailing Motives Of All Countries In The World:on The Influence Of Recognition Of China's Market Economy Status

In this paper,based on the background that China's export trade has been investigated by different countries frequent anti-dumping and the trend has not lost and China's market economy status is still not acknowledged by Europe and the United States which is the major trading powers of China after China's entry into WTO for 15 years,this study explore the reasons of China suffered from different countries of the world anti-dumping and countervailing investigation.This paper uses the data of national and industrial levels of 214 countries and regions in the world from 1980 to 2015.The economic factors include unemployment rate,exchange rate,GDP growth rate,GDP,import penetration ratio and the total value of goods of industry imported from China.International environmental factors include whether the country is a member of the WTO or not,whether there is a free trade agreement with China,and whether it recognizes China's market economy status.The strategic factors include the number of anti-dumping and countervailing cases launched by China to the country,the number of anti-dumping and countervailing cases against China except the country and the number of anti-dumping and countervailing cases launched by China.OLS quantitative analysis of these factors is used to quantify the impact of these factors on initiation of anti-dumping and countervailing and the number of anti-dumping and countervailing measures against China and the analysis is used to study the difference between developed and developing countries.Research results indicate that,in the perspective of the world,from the point of strategy factors,China suffered more anti-dumping and countervailing investigation can weaken the possibility and quantity of anti-dumping or countervailing to China from the world.However,the more anti-dumping and countervailing investigation to world and to a country launched by China will stimulate the potential and quantity of anti-dumping and countervailing against China launched by the country.From the perspective of the international environment factors,the recognition of China's market economy status can reduce the potential and quantity of anti-subsidy to China.As for economic factors,an increase in a country's GDP and a decline in unemployment rate would reduce its potential and quantity of countervailing against China.Compared to developed countries and developing countries,strategy factors are also significant.For developed countries,China launched countervailing to them reduce the number and potential of the countervailing to China,which opposites to developing countries.About international factors,if developed countries entry into the WTO,they will increase the number and potential of the anti-dumping and countervailing to China.Admitted that China has market economy status and signed a free trade agreement with China can reduce the number and potential of the developed countries's anti-dumping and countervailing to China.
