Research On The Economic Growth Rate Of Some Countries In ASEAN And Its Impact On International Trade

With the deepening of ASEAN economic integration,new development opportunities are coming to the southeast Asian countries.With the slowdown in global economy,the economies of ASEAN countries are generally slowing while they are growing at different rates.Economic growth is accompanied by the growth of trade.Trade volumes in southeast Asia are rising,while trade deficits have appeared in many countries.Based on the above background,this paper focuses on analysis of the ASEAN countries economic growth and its influence on international trade,tracing the theoretical source of trade and economic growth.And on this basis,explores the mechanism of influence between them through the econometric analysis.The results are showed as follows.(1)Economic growth,as the economic foundation,determines the growth of trade,while the growth of trade will affect economic growth in turn.(2)In the empirical analysis part,we established a hybrid regression model,and the results showed that economic growth had a significant effect on trade growth.(3)In order to maintain the mutual promotion and long-term equilibrium relationship between international trade and economic growth,we should make economic growth continue to play a role of promoting the international trade,and at the same time should not ignore the influence of trade on economic growth.These are some suggestions on making economic growth in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)while achieving trade balance.First,continue to deepen the integration of ASEAN,and Enhance strategic partnership with China.Second,transform the way of economic growth and develop the ability of technological innovations.Third,accelerate industrial upgrading and optimize the structure of foreign trade.Fourth,safeguard national stability and strengthen the building of the ASEAN political community.
