As the largest insurance category in the field of domestic property insurance,the motor vehicle insurance has been playing an important role in the property insurance industry.By the end of 2015,the total premium of motor vehicle insurance premiums in China reached 613 billion 800 million yuan,accounting for 77% of the income of property insurance premiums,becoming the main insurance category of most property insurance companies.In March 24,2015,the China Insurance Regulatory Commission issued the "opinions on deepening the reform of commercial vehicle insurance clauses tariff management system",marking the new round of commercial auto insurance reform officially started.The new market environment is bound to bring more opportunities and challenges,which undoubtedly put forward higher requirements for the management ability and innovation ability of the property insurance companies.In the future competition,property insurance companies must pay more attention to their own operational efficiency,around the improvement of operational efficiency to adapt to the trend of the rate of marketization.The important position occupied in the property insurance company auto insurance business based on,and the importance of economic and social construction in China,and the auto insurance rates market-oriented reform,facing the fierce competition in the industry,this paper selects the domestic insurance market,16 property insurance companies(including 11 Chinese,5 foreign investment insurance)the business data of 2013-2015,using data envelopment model to measure the relative efficiency,according to the calculation results of the assessment and recommendations of the insurance companies to compete in the future to fully understand their own strengths and weaknesses,so as to take effective measures to enhance the market competitiveness of the problem,and maximize the value of the company's business objectives.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first part analyzes the current situation of the development of China's auto insurance market and the specific content of the reform of commercial insurance premium rate and the significance of reform.The research status of efficiency evaluation of insurance companies at home and abroad,as well as the overview of the research process of this paper.The second part,on the basis of performance related theories,finds the problems existing in the performance evaluation.Through the comparison of various performance evaluation methods,this paper discusses the feasibility and practicability of the DEA method in evaluating the efficiency of motor vehicle insurance.The third part,on the basis of the previous analysis,proposed the insurance company motor vehicle insurance efficiency evaluation system construction ideas,that is,this study uses the DEA-BCC model,and then define the index and select valid data.The fourth part,carries on the DEA empirical analysis,uses the constructed BCC efficiency appraisal model to carry on the analysis to the selected data.From the point of view of efficiency difference,this paper analyzes its causes,and puts forward the efficiency improvement strategy through the calculation of input improvement value by DEA method.Due to the limited knowledge of the author,there are some shortcomings in this paper.First,limited by the author's limited understanding of the actual operation of the insurance company's auto insurance business,there is still a lack of deep research on its management.Secondly,due to the data acquisition causes,the model is not accurate enough.If there is more sufficient data support,the model solution results are more close to the actual situation.Thirdly,the delay of data statistics,which leads to the lack of comparative analysis of the latest industry efficiency.Therefore,errors and loopholes inevitably arise in this paper,I urge teachers and experts at the criticism.
