Under the background of global warming,low-carbon economy has attracted the attention of most countries, which refers to the development pattern with greater economic benefits and fewer greenhouse gas.Different from the low-carbon economy,low-carbon globalization means that under the global influence of carbon dioxide, the constraint of carbon emission will strengthen the link between economic development mode, energy structure and energy efficiency of various countries(Lin,2010)[1],including low-carbon trade liberalization,low-carbon production internationalization, and globalization of low-carbon finance, science and technology. In the past, the trade globalization has exacerbated the external diseconomies of the world environment. For example, carbon emissions in most countries have been increasing rapidly due to the expansion of trade, and the less-developed countries have paid the price of accelerated pollution for the environmental protection of developed countries. In contrast to the trade globalization,low-carbon globalization is to internalize these external diseconomies by using trade or non-trade means.Trade globalization tends to increase production and expand global trade, while low-carbon globalization discourages the enthusiasm for production and reduces global trade. In the future, the international division of labor can not simply rely on the traditional benefits of multilateral trade, and the global carbon revenue should be paid more attention. With the deepening of the international division of labor,it's important for us to identify the relationship between the low-carbon globalization and trade globalization. However, the current empirical studies on the globalization of low-carbon and trade are still scarce. This paper will explore the contradictions and connections between low-carbon globalization and trade globalization from the perspective of international division of labor.First, based on marginal net trade embodied carbon, all trading countries are divided into six types of carbon-emissions modes to study the carbon-emissions effects of different division of labor.Second, the embodied carbon of all industries in China and the United States is completely decomposed into 25 parts by using specific method and tracking the flow of trade added value. The results show that in 2009,type I countries(those with abundant factor endowments and higher economic level)fail to meet the standards of low-carbon globalization, accounting for a higher proportion of all countries(21%).In the United States' exports, the sum of the domestic value-added carbon absorbed by foreign countries(DV),domestic value-added carbon returns to home and absorbed domestically(RDV)accounts for about 90%of the total exports embodied carbon, while in the China's exports, the corresponding proportion is less than 70%.Both the international division of labor in China and the United States contribute to the global carbon emission reduction. Therefore,China should attach importance to and actively respond to the challenges of low-carbon globalization,as well as improving its international division of labor and carbon reduction technologies by industrial upgrading.China can also seize the opportunity of "One Belt and One Road",lead the countries along the line to establish a low-carbon trade community and achieve the growth of trade added value under low-carbon transition through the cooperation in science and technology, etc.
