The Analysis And Research Of Fresh-Cut Flowers Export In Guangdong From 2002 To 2016

Guangdong is the main city for flower production and flower export in China.However,with the increasingly fierce competition in the industry at home and abroad,great pressure has been brought to the export of fresh-cut flowers in Guangdong.In this study,through the collection of raw data of export of fresh-cut flowers in Guangdong and related information as well as a survey from 2002 to 2016,the study was carried on the following three aspects for 6 kinds of fresh-cut flowers,including cut rose,cut chrysanthemum,cut lily,cut carnation,cut orchid and other cut flowers.First of all,the situations of fresh-cut flowers export in Guangdong from 2002 to 2016 were analyzed.The main results were as follows.The annual export value of fresh-cut flowers was $0.36~13.58 million,accounting for 0.53%~5.73% of total flower exports in Guangdong.In recent years,the export volume of chrysanthemum has been the largest,reaching $6.98 million in 2016,accounting for 51.4% of all the fresh-cut flowers exports in Guangdong.Fresh-cut flowers were exported to more than 10 countries and regions each year,but mainly exported to Hong Kong,Japan,South Korea and Macau in Asia.Export enterprises were mainly private enterprises,followed by state-owned enterprises.Export transportation was mainly automobile transportation and sea transportation.The average annual export price of various kinds of fresh-cut flowers fluctuates a lot.The annual export price of cut chrysanthemum in 2012~2016 was 0.75~2.43 $/kg.In recent years,the exports of fresh-cut flowers produced by Guangdong has been declining in the proportion of the exports of fresh-cut flowers in Guangdong port,such as the proportion of chrysanthemum from 90% in 2013 to 70% in 2016,and so on.Secondly,the main problems of fresh-cut flowers export were analyzed and summarized in Guangdong at present.The main problems were as follows.The annual value of export became smaller and fluctuated markedly,the annual export unit price changed too much,the number of exporting countries and regions was too small,the export proportion of local production of fresh-cut flowers gradually decreased,the species of fresh-cut flowers with independent intellectual property rights were scarce,the producers lacked good cultivation techniques of fresh-cut flowers,and so on.Thirdly,the countermeasures were proposed to improve fresh-cut flowers export of Guangdong.The main measures were as follows.Relative government departments should actively offer support to fresh-cut flowers industry,making the development plan and goal of the fresh-cut flowers exportation industry,strengthening scientific and technological autonomous innovation research of fresh-cut flowers,increasing fresh-cut flowers cultivation area,improving social service system of fresh-cut flowers industry,strengthening expertise and training of the producers,and so on.
