County,as the basic unit of economic space for the development of urban agglomeration,is the microcosmic effect factor of city group's spatial structure, and it plays an important role in the spatial evolution of city group;moreover, county economy is the most closely associated economy in regional economy, the urbanization level in Central China is not so high, the city groups are still at initial stage of development, thus,it is needed to support the development of central cities and key areas through the development of county industry.Under the background of the integrated development of urban agglomeration,in the future, industrialization, urbanization, and modernization will be the themes and directions of county economy development, and the industrial space layout of county is the key point to its transformation and development.Nowadays, most of county industrial spatial plannings are restricted to its own area, while the status of industrial development and role definition are ignored, which leads to a risk of development homogeneity, the planning of industrial space runs counter to the pattern of industrial distribution benefiting the regional economic development, and the economic efficiency is greatly decreased, the development of regional economy thus,is severely restricted. How to properly adjust county industrial structure, optimize county industrial spatial distribution, and promote the development of county economy, and finally promote the regional integration,is the important aim of this study. This study chooses those county-level administration cells that play important roles in city group integration and coordinated development of urban and rural areas, and have the characteristics of comprehensiveness, associativity, and territoriality as the range of research;chooses Ningxiang County, which geographically belongs to Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration, and is located closely to the central city as the study sample;and chooses Ningxiang County's industrial space as the object of study.Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, this study explores the spatial distribution of county industry of Ningxiang County, which is based on the spatial integration of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration, the research subject is divided into 3 parts.Firstly, the study analyzes the characteristics of spatial development and difficulties in integrated development of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration.Based on the summary of the city group's spatial revolution process,it also analyzes the present spatial features of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration from four aspects, which are population space, urban space, economic space, and the internal communication network of the city group, and it uses ArcGIS to analyze the density of industrial core of Hunan Province,as well as the changes of employment and density,to find out the trend of spatial development of ChangZhu-Tan urban agglomeration in the future. Therefore, this study concludes that ChangZhu-Tan urban agglomeration is in the transition from formation to maturity, and its space presents obvious point-axis development mode, and the Changsha-Yiyang-Changde corridor has already been showing.Secondly, the study resolves the coupling relationship between spatial structure of city group and spatial distribution of county industry, and confirms that the pattern of industrial space layout in Ningxiang is "point-axis and regional industrial complex",through analyzing development characteristics of Ningxiang county and the influence of ChangZhu-Tan urban agglomeration on the industrial space layout in Ningxiang. Finally, the study proposes optimization strategy applicable to the pattern of industrial space layout in Ningxiang, including industrial system, spatial distribution of industry, integration of industries and cities, and policy design for industry cluster development.
