A Study On The New Urban Space Under The Background Of The Transformation Of Old Industrial Base

Urban spatial structure is one of the main contents of urban geography and regional economics.Since 1990 s,the "New District",represented by all kinds of development zones,has become an important way for the denotative extension of Chinese cities,among them establish earlier start of the transition to " urbanization ",appeared a lot of new city space phenomenon.For the old industrial city,the development and transformation of all kinds of "new district" has become the key support of the transformation of the old industrial base,its land massive expansion,emergence of new functional groups,Diversification of urban functions,ect.,these have played a key role in the replacement of industrial space,the cultivation of modern industrial clusters and the upgrading of urban function space in the old industrial city.A series of problems in the rapid expansion of new urban space in China,such as single function,lack of content,social problems and so on,are the important reasons for the formation of "lying city","deserted city".New function transformation difficulties and unreasonable allocation of resources has seriously affected functional upgrading and sustainable development of cities,and has become the bottleneck of the transformation and revitalization of old industrial bases.The realization of the "City" transformation and optimization and upgrading of functional space for the New District Becomes the inevitable choice for city sustainable development in our country.Unfortunately,there is little theoretical research on the new urban space in the domestic academic circle,and there is a lack of systematic theoretical generalization,this is not conducive to the exchange of theoretical research and the overall promotion,has become an important defect in the study of urban spatial structure in china.Based on this,it is urgent to explore the basic connotation,theoretical system,and evolution mechanism and organization model of the new urban space.This paper puts forward the theme of the new urban space growth under the background of the transformation of old industrial base.In this study,the connotation of the concept of "new urban space" has been set up,and the theoretical framework of new urban space has been preliminarily established.In Changchun as an example,this paper attempts to define the basic connotation of the new urban space in the whole scope of the city.Using mathematical statistical methods and GIS spatial analysis technology to investigate evolution characteristics,growth mechanism and development path of new urban space under the background of the transformation of old industrial base,constructed the couplingevaluation model of urban functional space,and analyzed its driving mechanism,finally put forward the basic strategy and development path.The dissertation is divided into five chapters:In the first chapter,we provide the basal theory and research progress for the research which is the growth of new urban space.Then we analyze the related concepts about new city space,introduce the theory of the growth about the new city space in the background of the transformation about old industrial base and the frontier research about the organization in city space.The research analyzes progress at home and abroad.It includes the structure of city space,the transformation of old industrial base and the growth of new city space.The second chapter,we construct theory framework about the new urban space under the background of the old industrial base's transformation.This paper build the new city's theoretical framework in the aspect of the growth response,growth stage,space types,growth effect and evolution mechanism in the background of the old industrial base's transformation.The third chapter,we introduce the evolutionary character of the new urban space in Changchun under the background of the transformation in old industrial base.First,we identify and define the new city's area and the growth stage of Changchun.Then the study establishes the evolution characteristics of the new city space based on the existing research.At the meanwhile,this paper adopts four quantitative model analysis methods that include land-use space,population space,service space and industrial space.And we discuss the sub function's space pattern,evolution characteristics,growth effects and other issues in the scope of the new city space.Finally,we establish the model of coupling function of city's function space to appraise the coupling relationship and the coupling state.The fourth chapter analyzes the driving mechanism of the growth in the Changchun new urban space under the background of the old industrial base's transformation stage.The study reveals the basic driving force of new space from three aspects which is administrative factors,market factors and individual factors.The fifth chapter is the optimized path to solve the main problems of Changchun new urban space.In this part,we analyze the existing problems in the new urban space of Changchun.The paper puts forward some basic strategies and path selection about the new urban spatial regulation for the future.
