Since 2005,with the development of urbanization,the demand for automobiles has increased dramatically.The market competition becomes more and more strong.All the car brands have speeded up with new model,and all the OEM suppliers are required to shorten the relevant preparation process.The development of packaging is one of them.XZ is a Japanese enterprise that produces automotive safety glass worldwide,the current packaging development process is inefficient and the cost of packaging and logistics is higher than others.Beside the development of new vehicle is tight.XZ Company needs to reduce the development cycle and cost of logistics.In this paper,the packaging development process of XZ Company is taken as the research object.First,it introduces the background of the research,and the principles of process design,ASME analysis,IDEF modeling,ESEIA method,parallel engineering and other related theories.Secondly,it introduces the company and the relevant standards for the development of packaging,investigates the current process of the packaging development in detail,and collect the unit of behavior in the process,and model the process according to the IDEF3 method.The ASME method is used to analyze the units of behavior in each children process,to determine the value added and non value-added parts,to find out the problem in the current process of XZ Company.Thirdly,according to customer new request and the company's current situation,we set up the optimization goal.According to the results of ASME analysis,using the ESEIA method,the process is optimized according to five ways of enhancement,simplification,reduction,integration and information,and the optimization result is analyzed,and the conclusion is the process needs to be optimized continuously.Accordance to the theory of concurrent engineering,pushing the process of packaging design and purchasing in the same time,and break the limit of the development cycle on the purchasing process,so that the company can strengthen the purchasing process,reduce the investment of container.Finally,the guarantee measures for new process are put forward,including adjusting department responsibilities,establishing regular meeting system,strengthening supplier management and improving container generalization.The optimization of packaging development process used in this paper is also suitable for other OEM suppliers,and also useful for the improvement of the development process.
