Research On Risk Management In Company A's Information System Upgrade

Company A's existing system provides services through a single node and its system's security is low,In order to obtain project bidding qualifications,its information system upgrade must be completed in a short period of four months to achieve a high security and availability system.There are many uncertain factors in the upgrade process.The occurrence of risk events is harmful to the progress and function of the project,which would affect the successful upgrade of the system.To reduce the probability and impact of risk occurrence and complete the transformation within the required time,the project team of Company A applies the theoretical knowledge of risk management in the upgrade and transformation of this information system,and implements risk management throughout the whole process of project.This thesis uses the brainstorming method,expert interview method and WBS-RBS matrix method to identify the risk information of A company's information system upgrade,and finally obtains the risk identification table and WBS-RBS matrix.By method of the FMEA,the identified risks are evaluated,and the risk priority values are calculated and graded,and finally obtain a risk priority ranking table.Then take different measures accordingly to the different impact ranges of risks,for risk events with a risk priority value higher than 120 and a risk impact value over 6,they are taken as the main prevention risks,it has to focus to reduce the priority values of the main risks and the impacts of the risks.The management of risk is not a one-time task,instead,it runs through the whole project process.This thesis uses the method of causal analysis and risk auditing and risk reporting to monitor the risk in different phases through the project and obtain a risk report as a data basis for the project manager in making decision and realises risk management for the whole process of the project.In this thesis,it has obtained risk identification table,WBS-RBS matrix chart,risk priority ranking table,causal analysis chart and risk report,these are the important assets from project process for Company A,which provide theoretical basis and method for A company to upgrade information system,and also provide project administrators in this company with valuable experience in the risk management of similar information system upgrade projects in the future.The company's risk management research also has certain reference value for other companies in the filed of achieving high security and high availability information system transformation project.
