The concept of inclusive and sustainable industrialization was first proposed at the 15th United Nations Industrial Development Organization Congress in 2013.The Lima Declaration adopted by the Congress pointed out that one of the central tasks of emerging countries is to eradicate poverty, which can only be achieved through inclusive and sustainable industrialization development paths..As the initiator and coordinator of this global strategy,UNIDO encourages global cooperation to enhance international transfer of knowledge and technology.Since the reform and opening up,China's rapid economic development and its global influence are obvious to all.Similar to other developed countries,China has also achieved comprehensive economic development by vigorously developing modern industry. It can be said that industrialization is the only way for social progress and development of all countries. However,China's industrial development not only has a strong dual economic color, that is,to sacrifice agriculture to develop industry, but also more emphasis on industrial development, with high energy consumption and high emissions, resulting in a serious imbalance not only in industrial and agricultural development, but also in the industrial structure. These two imbalances together give birth to the widening income gap between urban and rural areas, which seriously hinders the harmonious and sustainable development of society.Since the second half of the 20th century,China's industrialization has experienced a highly compressed process, with a large number of excess capacity and insufficient effective demand coexisting, slow economic growth, and the gradual disappearance of the "demographic dividend." Promoting the adjustment of economic structure, including industrial structure, has become an urgent issue. So in essence,to solve the income gap between urban and rural areas,we must first understand and solve the fundamental problems of industrial development. The overall idea of this paper is as follows:The first chapter is an introduction, this part introduces the background and significance of this study, research ideas and methods,as well as innovations and shortcomings. The second chapter is a literature review. This part starts from the origin and significance of the concepts of inclusive and sustainable industrialization, combing with Kuznets inverted U-shaped theory,Lewis dual economic structure theory,Feijinghan-Lanis model and Harris-Todaro model to summarize the existing literature at home and abroad, and literature review. The third chapter is the impact mechanism. This part introduces the mechanism of inclusive and sustainable industrialization on the rural-urban income gap,and shows the internal dynamic relationship between the two.The fourth chapter is the measurement of inclusive and sustainable industrial development index. This part is the data support for the next empirical analysis.Using the measurement method proposed by the United Nations in the 2016 Industrial Development Report, the industrial development level is measured from the level of inclusiveness and sustainability. The fifth chapter is the core part-Empirical analysis. This part uses the sample data of 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government except Tibet from 2000 to 2016.and uses Hansen's panel threshold model for reference to test the threshold effect of inclusive and sustainable industrialization on urban-rural income gap.Chapter sixth is the conclusion and enlightenment,as the last chapter of this paper, this part summarizes the previous research results, and puts forward corresponding policy recommendations for the conclusion.Through theoretical analysis and empirical test.this paper draws the following conclusions:the impact of inclusive and sustainable industrialization on the urban-rural income gap has a double threshold characteristics, that is,the impact of inclusive and sustainable industrialization on the urban-rural income gap presents an inverted U-shaped curve, that is,expanding the urban-rural income gap before narrowing the urban-rural income gap.In view of the above conclusions, this paper puts forward feasible policy recommendations:(1)Attach importance to technological innovation and strengthen supply side reform;(2)Formulate incentive mechanisms for renewable energy, improve the market competitiveness of renewable energy, and popularize the scope of renewable energy;(3)Attach importance to rural education level, increase labor quality, promote rural income level with human capital;(4)Do a good job in the undertaking of industrial transfer, expand the technology spillover effect in developed areas, give full play to the comparative advantages of various regions;(5)Improve the quality of opening up,eliminate the imbalance of opening to the out-side world, and bring the technology of the Eastern region into play.Combining the advantages of technology with those of other regions,we can realize the bidirectional radiation of the economy.(6)Rational allocation of urban and rural labor resources, multichannel improvement of labor transfer capacity, eliminating the growing income gap caused by unfair income distribution. In addition, the innovations of this paper compared with the existing literature are as follows:Inclusive and sustainable industrialization indicators are included in the consideration of measuring the level of industrialization development in China, and the threshold panel model is used to measure the impact of inclusive and sustainable industrialization on the urban-rural income gap,in order to narrow the inclusiveness and sustainability of China.Under the background of industrialization development,we put forward some feasible suggestions on the rural-urban income gap.
