Research On The Mechanism Of The Relationship Between Managerial Discretion And Ambidexterity Innovation

The ambidexterity innovation of an enterprise is the key to maintain and develop its core competitiveness.The managerial discretion is the independent behavior space of the manager in the companys'decision-making process.This behavior space can influence ambidexterity innovation.In the field of technological innovation,competitive strategy measure means the degree of interaction between enterprises in the same industry,if a company in the industry carries out technological innovation,then other companies will adopt the same technology to imitate innovation.This study mainly references the previous literature,combining with Technical Innovation theory,Dynamic Competition Theory,Upper Echelons Theory and principal-agent theory,to study how the managerial discretion affects the choice of ambidexterity innovation.At the same time,based on the previous research,the managerial discretion is divided into three dimensions,the managerial position,managerial pay and managerial operation,reaearching the black box between these three dimensions and the ambidexterity innovation.At the same time,combined with the environment of China,a Chinese situational factor was introduced,that is,competitive strategy measure,researching the impact of external environment on managerial innovation strategy decision-making.At present,in China,the competitive strategy measure is more serious.Therefore,the focus of this research is to explore the control response of the competitive strategy measure,on the relationship between managerial discretion and ambidexterity innovation.This research mainly uses open second-hand data for research.The sample of this study is the listed companies in the manufacturing industry.There are some conclusions of the this study:(1)It is a significant positive correlation between the managerial discretion and ambidexterity innovation.(2)Competitive strategy measure has negative control response on the relationship between managerial discretion and exploratory innovation.(3)Competitive strategy measure has positive control response on the relationship between managerial discretion and exploitative innovation.(4)Different dimensions of managerial discretion will have the different impact on the ambidexterity innovation.Based on the above empirical analysis,there are some suggestions are put forward:(1)giving the appropriate discretion to the managers;(2)establishing the professional manager market;(3)noticing the dynamics of the external environment.
