Comparative Analysis Of The Relationship Between Industrial Structure And Economic Growth In China's Four Major Economic Regions

Since the reform and opening up in 1978,China's economic and social fields have undergone tremendous changes.The economic volume has achieved leap-forward development,the three industries have achieved great development,and the entire industrial structure has become more and more perfect,but there is still a big gap compared with developed countries,such as low factor productivity,low efficiency of production capacity.Problems such as severe environmental resource constraints still exist.At present.China's economy has entered a "new normal",from the high-speed growth stage of the past to the stage of high-quality growth.In order to achieve good&fast economic development,industrial restructuring is imperative.Due to the vast territory of China,there are large differences in resource endowments in different regions,and the economic start-up time is different,resulting in inconsistent industrial structures in various regions of China.According to regional differences,it is of great significance to study the evolution of regional industrial structure in a differentiated way,and to achieve high-quality economic growth in China's industrial restructuring.This paper takes the interrelationship between the rationalization of industrial structure,the supererogation of industrial structure and economic growth as the research target,using time series data of various provinces in China from 1978 to 2016 as the analysis data,dividing all provinces into eastern region,central region,western region and northeast region according to geographical location and policy,modeling the vector autoregressive model,impulse response analysis and variance analysis to research and analysis the interrelationship.While giving an explanation in the economic theory sense,it also gives an explanation of the actual basis.Concluded as follow:First,in the past 20 years,the industrial structure of various regions in China have made great progress,especially in the eastern,central and western regions.In the ten years after the Northeast region in 2003,the degree of rationalization of industrial structure deteriorated,and the industrial structure had a lopsided development,leading to economic stalls.After the economic stall,it also had a certain impact on the level of supererogation and rationalization,mainly reflecting the high level of supererogation.The improvement of the level of rationalization,due to the shrinking of the secondary industry,the outflow of part of the labor force,the proportion of the tertiary industry increased,the index showed a decline in the rationalization index,the degree of rationalization increased,the supererogation index increased,and the degree of supererogation increased;Second,the rationalization of regional industrial structure is more common and obvious in promoting economic growth.In the results of quantitative analysis in the eastern,central and northeastern regions,the rationalization of industrial structure has a clear relationship with economic growth.Among them,the level of rationalization of industrial structure in the eastern and central regions has been continuously improved,economic growth has been stable,and the degree of rationalization in the northeast region has been deteriorating.The inhibition of economic growth is also more obvious;Third,the promotion of economic growth to the extent of industrial structure is evident in some regions.In the results of econometric analysis in the eastern and western regions,the advanced industrial structure has a certain role in promoting economic growth,but the promotion of the eastern region is mainly reflected in the middle and late stages,which is related to the development direction of supererogation and the advanced level of the eastern region.The improvement is mainly based on the development of production-oriented service industry,while the western region is mainly based on the development of life-oriented service industry.The effect of the advanced process of the production-oriented service industry on economic growth is reflected in the middle and late stages.The production-oriented service industry needs a certain amount of time to promote economic growth by improving factor output The advanced process of the life-oriented service industry is directly reflected in economic growth.Fourth,the benign interaction mechanism of rationalization and upgrading of industrial structure has not been fully formed.In the eastern region,only the mechanism of rationalization and advanced mutual promotion is found.In the central and western regions,there is a one-way promotion,while in the northeast region,there is no obvious relationship.
