Traditional international trade theory thinks that the difference in resource endowment determines the comparative advantage of a country and industry.Every country can benefit and improve social welfare if they work in accordance with their unique comparative advantages.New trade theory introduces economies of scale and imperfect competition. But it is still assumed that all enterprises are homogeneous and still do not consider the heterogeneity between enterprises.New trade theory cannot explain that some enterprises will be eliminated, some enterprises will continue to expand, and some enterprises will continue to shrink after the trade occurs between enterprises. In the past studies, most economists have stayed at the macro level of the national level and the meso-level industry to study trade behavior, but in recent years, the new-new trade theory has completely broken the homogeneity of enterprises.scholars are aware of the differences between individual firms, and trade theories that focus on the enterprise level are beginning to be widely used.Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly. As the world's second largest economy,China's total import and export volume has increased from 20.638 billion dollars in 1978 to 41071.64 billion dollars in 2017,The average annual growth rate is 14.53%.The total export value increased from 1.974 billion dollars in 1978 to 22633.71 billion US dollars dollars in 2017,The average annual growth rate is 14.99%;the total import value increased from 10.893 billion dollars in 1978 to 18437.39 billion dollars in 2017,The average annual growth rate is 14.06%.The continuous increase of export volume has made great contributions to China's economic development. As a subject of trade activities, enterprises are of great significance to the study of enterprises. This paper is based on the enterprise heterogeneity model proposed by Melitz in the New-new trade theory, and studies the factors affecting the export of enterprises.Firstly, this paper combs the relevant literature of the new-new trade theory, the research progress and the Melitz model, then we compared whether there are significant differences between export companies and non-export companies by Independent sample T-test and whether it meets the conclusions in the Melitz model.Nextly, this paper examine the impact of multiple heterogeneity factors besides productivity on corporate export, such as the geographical location, age, capital size, type and technological innovation of the company and so on.Finally, the conclusions are analyzed and summarized based on the results of our empirical research. The research results show that there is a “productivity paradox” in agricultural product processing industry, that is,the productivity of non-export enterprises is higher than that of those export enterprises, and it is also found in many sub-sectors.In addition, various factors such as geographical location, nature of the enterprise, size of the enterprise, age of the enterprise, technological innovation and capital structure will have a certain impact on the export of the enterprise.According to the research conclusions of this paper,in order to promote the export development of China's agricultural product processing industry, four suggestions are put forward: Firstly, increase R&D investment and improve the level of technological innovation;Secondly, increase productivity levels, promote industrial upgrading and transformation;Thirdly,Create a fair export environment,so that enterprises continue to develop in fair competition;Fourth, give more policy support to private enterprises.
