Corporate social responsibility(CSR)has received great attention in recent years, both from academic and industrial circles.Although firms have known that corporate social responsibility can improve corporate performance, they don't know how to identify the key factors which have great influence on CSR.So firms hesitate to put CSR into force. There are a lot of theoretical and empirical articles about CSR published in core journals.Researchers focus on the antecedents-CSR relationships and CSR-consequences relationships. However, the researches on antecedents of CSR are fragmented, and some relationships between antecedents and CSR are not clear. Most studies are single level analysis which make people lack a global view of the antecedents. The relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate performance(CP)has been the focus of researches' controversy, because the empirical findings of the relationships are inconsistent. Some articles use meta-analysis to make the CSR-CP relationships clear by eliminating measurement errors and sampling errors, and finding the potential moderators. This paper quantitatively synthesize and analyze the empirical findings on antecedents and consequences of CSR by Meta-Analysis.We integrates 3 levels analysis including institutional level, organizational level and individual level. We make the relationships clear and test the potential moderators, such as R&D intensity, power distance, uncertainty avoidance.
