| This paper studies the impact of national financial expenditure and various agricultural input factors on the total value of agricultural production. The total value of agricultural production is regarded as agricultural output. The national financial expenditure, rural population, the total power of agricultural machinery, the amount of fertilizer applied in agriculture, the effective irrigation area and the total area sown by crops are taken as agricultural input. The panel data of 31 provinces and autonomous regions,11 provinces and autonomous regions in the east,8 provinces and autonomous regions in the central part and 12 provinces and autonomous regions in the western part of China were constructed to analyze the impact of national financial expenditure and various factors of agricultural input on the total value of agricultural production in different regions. In this paper, the original data are processed logarithmically. The stationarity test of panel data is carried out,and the fixed effect model is selected.Firstly, the panel data model of each region is used to carry out least squares regression to analyze the factors and magnitude of agricultural input affecting the average agricultural output. It is found that the national financial expenditure and the amount of agricultural chemical fertilizer application in each region have a significant positive impact on the average agricultural output, and the latter is greater than the former’s elastic impact.Rural population has a negative impact on agricultural output.Secondly, the panel data model of each region is used to quantile regression to analyze the factors and elasticity of agricultural input affecting agricultural output under different agricultural output levels. It is found that the national financial expenditure and the amount of agricultural chemical fertilizer application have significant positive effects on agricultural output under different agricultural output levels in the whole country. Finally, according to the results of quantile regression of panel data in the eastern, central and Western regions, the impact of national fiscal expenditure on agricultural output under different agricultural output levels is analyzed separately. It is found that the elasticity of national fiscal expenditure on agricultural output in the western regions is the greatest under the same agricultural output levels, and under the high agricultural output levels in their respective regions.Agricultural output is less dependent on national financial expenditure. |
