With the continuous upgrading of global competition,more and more multinational companies have established a leading market advantage position in China by virtue of their resources and technical strength.Faced with the dynamic changes of the market and the technological blockade of mainstream enterprises,China's local enterprises are in the disadvantageous position of catching up in the market competition,and they need scientific theory and methods to guide their development process.As an effective theoretical method and strategic tool,disruptive innovation can guide enterprises to break through the growth bottleneck and reverse the competitive disadvantage to change the competitive landscape.However,in the process of disruptive innovation,the latecomer firms lack clear path of evolution of value network,and it is difficult to weigh the innovation relationship at the level of market,technology or cooperation,which leads to the unclear target of catching up,the difficulty in obtaining market competitive advantage etc.Based on the existing literature research,this thesis sorts out the rules and characteristics of the evolution of the value network of the latecomer firms from the perspective of disruptive innovation,and further uses the grounded theory analysis method to conduct an exploratory study on the vertical single case of Xiaomi mobile phone,and constructs the evolution path of value network.The theoretical model,and the evolution mechanism of the evolution of the value network of the latecomer firms is explained from the market,technology and cooperation level.(1)From the perspective of disruptive innovation,the case of the value network evolution path of the latecomer firms is analyzed by the Ground Theory.From the view of disruptive innovation and around the theme of value network evolution of the latecomer enterprise,the case of Xiaomi mobile phone has been carried out a standardized vertical single-case analysis.The logical relationship among the various categories of the evolution of the case enterprise value network has been summarized after the process of open coding,axis coding and selective coding,which provides a basis for the construction of the disruptive evolution path model.(2)The model of the value network evolution path of the latecomer firms from the perspective of disruptive innovation is established and interpreted.Based on previous coding result sand combined with the theoretical division of the disruptive innovation stages and the analysis for factors of value network evolution,the theoretical model of the value network evolution path of the latecomer enterprises is constructed,and the coupling relationship among technology,market and cooperation in the process of value network evolution is clarified.Research results show that,instead of a one-step process,the process of disruptive needs to go through the period of entry,catch-up and destruction and gradually complete the subversion for mainstream enterprises.In the process of disruptive innovation,the value network evolution of latecomer firms has always focused on enhancing user value,focusing on factors such as market,technology and cooperation.Its evolution path has mainly experienced identification and formation(identifying market opportunities and solving users' problems,exploring partners),iterative updates(clear market positioning,product value enhancement,solid partnership),Expanding and deepening(challenge the mainstream market,form technological advantages,and integrate cooperative networks).On the one hand,this thesis expands the application scope of the disruptive innovation theory and builds the model of value network evolution path for the latecomer firms from the perspective of subversive innovation,and on the other hand,it provides theoretical support for obtaining the market competitive advantage and realizing the innovation pursuit and competitive advantage for many enterprises with inferior position in China.
