The Characteristics And Determinants Of Returnee's Entrepreneurship Behavior

In recent years,with the labor-intensive industries in eastern coastal regions transfer to the western regions,and the economic downturn situation continued to strengthen,a large number of floating population in the east coastal regions return to the central and western regions has gradually into a trend.Among them,a part of rural labor force who had accumulated human capital,fund and technology during in the outer starting up business become an important force to promote the Midwest rural areas'economic sustainable development under the background of new normal economy.Returnee's entrepreneurship became one of the important issues in the academic circles and government departments.Returnee's entrepreneurship is a procedural event.It has experienced the decision-making process,start,development,and the results.However,Existing research focuses on individual entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial participation of returnee,but neglect to lucubrate the characteristics of process,such as the business model and business performance of returnee's entrepreneurship.On the basis of the above considerations,based on a survey data,interview data and statistical yearbook data about returnee's entrepreneurship in Guangdong,Anhui,Hunan,Hubei,Henan,Guizhou and Sichuan province 2015,to explore the characteristics of returnee's entrepreneurship behavior.And use the binary logistic regression model and ordinal logistic regression model to explore the influence of individual livelihood capital and the external environment on returnee's entrepreneurship.Besides,compare the characteristics and determinants of entrepreneurship behavior of the returnee and non-migrants under the perspective of comparative study.The main conclusions are summarized as follows.First,although most of the returnee's entrepreneurship is a kind of low level necessity-push entrepreneurship,but returnee also appear certain advantage in starting up business relative to the non-migrants.Second,the determinants of entrepreneurship behavior of returnee and non-migrants are not the same.The returnee's decision of starting up business more depends on physical capital,financial capital endowment and the situation of market environment.Reversely,the non-migrants'entrepreneurship decision lies on higher human capital and the terrain of the places of origin.Third,retunee's entrepreneurial mode is more influenced by the stock of their human capital,social capital and financial capital.however,the external environment have more impact on the non-migrant.Finally,the stock of human capital and social capital do little to entrepreneurship performance of rural labor.Nevertheless,natural capital,material capital,financial capital and the external environment is the main factor that influences the performance of rural labor's entrepreneurship.At the same time,natural capital and material capital have more profound influence on returnee's entrepreneurship performance.
