The sand closure of Hexi is located in the “throat zone” of the “Silk Road Economic Belt”.Its ecological security and the sustainable livelihood of rural households have become one of the scientific issues to be solved urgently. The study on the relationship between rural households' livelihood capital and livelihood strategies under the banned protection system has important practical significance for broadening the livelihoods of rural households, improving the livelihood capital of rural households, and promoting the sustainable development of regional population, resources and environment. This paper mainly includes three parts: The first part is the first chapter, the second chapter and the third chapter of the thesis. It mainly introduces the introduction of the research, literature review and theoretical background. The second part is Chapter 4,Chapter 5,Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of the dissertation. It mainly introduces the survey area, the current situation of livelihood capital and livelihood strategies in the research area, and the relationship research. The third part is the eighth chapter of the thesis, mainly the countermeasures and suggestions. This paper takes a sample of farm households in Gansu Province's national desertified land closure protection zone as the research background, adopts a sustainable livelihood framework and ecological economics as the theoretical background, and uses participatory farmer household assessment methods as the main means to establish the relationship between Logistic model and rural households' livelihood capital and livelihood strategies. An empirical study was conducted to analyze the impact and path of the five major livelihoods on the livelihood strategies of rural households in desertified land conservation areas, and that livelihood capital played a significant role in farmers' choice of diversity livelihood strategies, and summarized the proposed improvement of desertified land closure.Protecting the Livelihood of Rural Households and Promoting the Sustainable Development of Ecological Environment. The research in this paper shows that(1)In the composition of livelihood capital of farmerhouseholds in the desertified land conservation zone of Gansu Province, the social capital stock is the highest, the material capital is second only to social capital, the human capital and natural capital stocks are equal, and the financial capital stock is the lowest.(2)Farmer households choosing purely agricultural livelihood strategies have advantages in terms of natural capital and material capital, and have a stock of human capital and financial capital;farmers who choose non-agricultural livelihood strategies have a higher stock of social capital, but Natural capital and financial capital are the most disadvantageous, human capital is also weak, and their ability to withstand livelihood risks is the weakest;farmers households that choose diversity livelihood strategies have more obvious advantages in both financial capital and human capital, natural capital and society.Capital is in the middle, and its ability to withstand livelihood risks is strongest.(3)The natural capital and material capital owned by rural households have a positive correlation with farmers' chances of choosing a livelihood-based strategy. There is a negative correlation between the human capital owned by rural households and the opportunities for farmers to choose a livelihood-based strategy based on agriculture. The financial capital and social capital owned by rural households have no significant impact on the choice of livelihood strategies of rural households. This may be due to the combination of local economic and financial backwardness and insufficient development of social capital.Based on the above research conclusions, this paper proposes targeted countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of sustainable livelihoods of rural households in banned areas of desertified land.
