From the introduction of "Internet +" in 2005 to the government report that "Intelligence +" was first written into China,it marks the further upgrading of the lifestyle of Chinese residents. As the first factor to promote economic development, innovation drive is the key to Chinese economy from high-speed growth to high-quality growth, and it is the first driving force to improve the quality of life of residents. With the development of urban clustering in China, the innovation ability of each economic zone presents a development concept of “heart to heart”.The central urban agglomerations, while being influenced by national policies, resource endowments, regional agglomerations and other factors, improve their own innovation capabilities, while radiating to the marginal cities, that is,the development of the central zone.Of course, this knowledge spillover is mutual, and the central place is also subject to knowledge spillovers in the hinterland. In the famous economic zones such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, there is a phenomenon of agglomeration and spillover of such innovative capabilities, which enables the regional economy to develop stably for a long time.Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as an important space carrier for building world-class urban agglomerations and participating in global competition,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the spatial agglomeration and spatial spillover effects of its innovative capabilities. This paper makes use of the relevant data of 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from 2007 to 2016,and refers to the relevant literature at home and abroad. On the basis of innovative geography theory and econometric theory, the paper analyzes the spatial agglomeration and spillover effects of the innovation ability of the economy.Firstly,a general overview of the innovation capabilities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is carried out.The regional Gini coefficient,Herfindahl coefficient and the Thai coefficient are used to describe the spatial evolution characteristics of the innovation capacity of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.Secondly, use Geoda calculates the Moran index, which is used to describe the spatial autocorrelation of each city's innovation ability. The Moran scatter plot and the Lisa cluster map are used to preliminarily illustrate the spatial agglomeration characteristics of each city's innovation capability.Again, using the spatial weight matrix data,Using Stata for spatial econometric analysis, the optimal spatial econometric model was selected through various significance level tests to illustrate the spatial spillover effects of each city's innovation capability. Finally, based on the model regression results, some suggestions for promoting the spatial agglomeration and spillover effects of innovation capacity in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are proposed. The results of this paper show that based on the economic distance matrix, the innovation ability of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area shows significant spatial negative correlation, and there is obvious regional agglomeration. The innovation environment and the level of capital investment have positive effects on the spillover effects of innovation ability of the city and other cities;the positive spillover effect of innovation platform and human input level on the city's innovation ability is significant, but the spillover of other cities' innovation ability The effect is not significant;the level of external communication has an inhibitory effect on the city's ability to innovate, while the ability to innovate in other cities has been shown to be a catalyst. In view of the above results, this paper believes that Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area should optimize the spatial pattern of innovation capability, promote the coordinated development of urban agglomerations;improve the innovation environment, establish an innovation platform;increase investment in innovation, introduce innovative talents;establish an organization to coordinate the innovation and development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
