From "production Logic" To "symbolic Logic"

Based on the principle of production,Marx made a deep analysis of capitalist society and revealed the existence of alienation in society.His production logic became the basic logic for analyzing capitalist society because of its strong realistic orientation and historical implication.,After analyzing the reality of consumer society,Baudrillard has doubts about this basic concept of production.He identified a "differential production of symbols" that reflects the rank and identity of human beings.He believed that production had changed from material production to non-material symbol production.The dimension of material production in Marx's vision had ended.Therefore,Marx's political and economic criticism based on "production logic" had lost its explanatory power to capitalist society,what really worked today is "symbolic logic".The symbolic basis should be used to criticize capital's slavery and manipulation of people.Baudrillard sharply captures the theoretical reality of the consumer society.His criticism of Marx's concept of production enlightens us to rethink labor and production from the perspective of modernity,and to seek a way beyond the rule of capital in view of the new evolution of production in capitalist society.However,he over-exaggerated the symbolic logic of consumer society and failed to understand the critical nature of Marx's production logic.Marx's production logic is still the basic logic,and symbolic logic is only a new evolution form of production logic in the new era.In the face of production,Marx criticizes the production dialectics of capitalist social reality through production,while Baudrillard dispels the production metaphysics in concept.
