Study On The Comprehensive Strength Of Regional Economic Development In Fujian Province Based On Entropy Weight-TOPSIS Model

Since the reform and opening up,China has implemented the non-balanced strategy of supporting the eastern coastal areas to take the lead in development,and then driving the development of the western inland areas.It has made remarkable achievements and promoted the pace of socialist modernization.However,with the rapid economic growth,the problem of unbalanced economic development in China is becoming more and more serious,mainly reflected in urban and rural development,industry development,regional development and other aspects,especially in the growing economic gap between regions and regions.The distribution of economic development results is not ideal.At present,China is in the critical period of building a well-off society in an all-round way.It is essential to narrow the gap of regional economic development and promote coordinated development among regions.In order to solve this problem,it is necessary to measure and evaluate the comprehensive strength of regional economic development scientifically and reasonably.Since Fujian Province promoted the development of Xiamen Special Economic Zone and Haixi Coastal Economic Zone,the unbalanced trend of regional economic development has become increasingly obvious,so it is suitable for the study of this issue.Firstly,this paper combs the relevant research literature at home and abroad,mainly including the connotation of county economy concept and comprehensive evaluation model,to understand the research in this area and to sort out the overall research ideas and framework of this paper.Understanding the research in this area and sorting out the overall research ideas and framework of this paper.Then,this paper constructs a comprehensive strength evaluation index system of regional economic development with three secondary indicators and fourteen tertiary indicators,according to the principle of building a comprehensive evaluation index system.The relevant data of 84 districts and counties in Fujian Province in the Fujian Statistical Yearbook 2018 are selected to make an empirical analysis through the entropy weight-TOPSIS model.Empirical analysis of the current situation of regional economic development in Fujian Province is carried out mainly through the overall analysis of the comprehensive strength of economic development,spatial comparison and vertical comparison in the past five years..According to the analysis of the comprehensive score index,we can see that the regional economic development in Fujian Province is quite different,and the unbalanced trend of development level and spatial distribution is very obvious.Specifically,it has the following characteristics.First,the unbalanced development of inter-county economy,there is a "double imbalance" phenomenon,that is,spatial imbalance,urban-rural imbalance.Second,the economic foundation of the eastern counties is good and the development is strong.The unbalanced degree of economic development among the eastern counties is higher than that of the western counties.Third,the economic development of the western counties(especially the Northwest counties)is backward,but the internal gap is not large.Agricultural agriculture still dominates,and the development of secondary and tertiary industries lags behind.Then through the analysis of the secondary indicators to understand the development status of Fujian Province in these three areas,the main reasons are as follows: First,the economic strength level of Eastern Fujian is better than that of Western Fujian.The main reason is the economic radiation effect of the three core cities of Fuzhou,Xiamen and Quanzhou along the eastern coast.Second,the level of investment and consumption in Western and Northern Fujian is relatively low,while the level of investment and consumption in eastern coastal areas is relatively high.Fixed assets investment has a significant impact on economic restructuring and economic development,and the above conclusion is confirmed by the construction industry as an example.Third,the level of people's affluence(that is,the level of residents' economic income)plays an important role in the evaluation of regional economic development.The level of people's affluence is smaller than the first two secondary indicators within the province.Finally,by analyzing the comprehensive score index of districts and counties in the past five years,we can see that the trend of economic imbalance in Fujian Province has been alleviated.The reasons include the gradual improvement of infrastructure construction in economically underdeveloped districts and counties,the acceptance of part of industrial transfer in economically developed districts and counties,the gentle impact of import and export trade on eastern coastal areas and the increasingly significant impact on Western areas,and the return of labor force in western districts and Flow has a tremendous impetus to economic development and so on.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the above empirical analysis results,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to narrow the gap of regional economic development and coordinate regional economic development,mainly as follows.Firstly,we should promote the coordinated development of counties in the province,mainly by improving the mechanism of economic cooperation between counties and adjusting the industrial distribution between counties.Secondly,accelerating the integration of central cities and surrounding counties in the eastern part of Fujian Province,giving full play to the radiation effect of central cities on surrounding counties and districts.Thirdly,the western counties should achieve differentiated and characteristic development,and counties with different development levels should have different development models.The main innovations of this paper are as follows: Firstly,from the perspective of research,the comprehensive strength of regional economic development is studied based on the county level,and after constructing the comprehensive evaluation index system,the economic data of dozens of districts and counties are used for analysis.Secondly,in the research method,the entropy weight-TOPSIS model is used to evaluate comprehensively,which is different from the factor analysis method and the analytic hierarchy process adopted by most of the research institutes.It can effectively overcome the adverse effects of subjective factors and make the comprehensive evaluation process more objective and scientific,and the results obtained are more credible.
