The Innovation Powers And Its Mechanism Of Enterprise In An Open Innovation Environment

In the past,enterprise technological innovation has adopted a closed innovation model,in which each company independently researches and develops on its own resources,and the innovation power source is confined to the interior of the enterprise.In order to break through the constraints of limited resources and innovative risks,open innovation has gradually become the dominant model for enterprise technological innovation.In this environment,companies have cooperated and innovated with external entities,and the innovation power source has become more diverse.However,there are still two problems in the study of innovation powers:one is that it is limited to a single or part of the main entity,and does not fully consider the differential contribution of different innovation powers to the enterprise's innovation performance.Therefore,it cannot provide theoretical guidance for companies how to optimize resource allocation and selectively cooperate with external entities to maximize innovation performance;the second is that it focuses on demonstrating that there is a direct relationship between innovation power and innovation performance,but the path and the influencing factors are still unclear of the direct relationship,which is not conducive to further explore the mechanism of enterprise's inbound open innovation.In this paper,by sorting out relevant literature,from the point of view of the innovation power source,we summarize seven kinds of innovation power sources including the enterprise itself,and propose the Eight Powers Model of enterprise innovation in an open innovation environment(enterprise internal power,government support power,competitor joint power,competitor competition power,supplier driving power,customer pulling power,research organization cooperation power,and technology agency service power).Taking the samples of enterprises in some provinces and cities in China as research samples,the impact of different innovation powers on the innovation performance of enterprises was explored through empirical research.Enterprise internal power was used as the intermediary variable,and government support power as a regulator variable to make a preliminary exploration of the intrinsic mechanism of the innovation powers.The research results show that:(1)Eight powers can all improve the innovation performance of enterprises,and the effect size is:customer pulling power>supplier driving power>enterprise internal power>competitor joint power>research organization cooperation power>technology agency service power>government support power>competitor competition power.(2)Enterprise internal power plays a complete intermediary role in the relationship between competitor competition power and the enterprise's innovation performance,and in addition plays a partial role in the relationship between other kinds of innovation powers and the enterprise's innovation performance.(3)The government support power plays an inverted U-shaped regulatory role in the relationship between customer pulling power,supplier driving power,competitor joint power,research organization cooperation power,technology agency service power and enterprise internal power.
