The Impacts Of The Entrepreneurial Environment On The Entrepreneurial Performance Of Family Farms

Family farms are new path for the development of agricultural management organizations under the background of rural revitalization in the new era.At the current stage,family farm organizations have serious dilemmas of the entrepreneurial performance internally and are greatly influenced and restricted by the external entrepreneurial environment.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the deep impact relationships between the external entrepreneurial environment and the internal entrepreneurial performance of family farm organizations.Based on the resource dependence theory,the entrepreneurial performance theory and a sample data of 142 family farms in Zhejiang Province,this paper analyzed the deep impact relationships between the six-dimensional entrepreneurial environment and the three-level entrepreneurial performance of family farms by a structural equation model.The relevant conclusions are as follow:(1)The general definition of family farms is a new type of family agricultural management organizations engaged in moderate scale and market operation and established enterprise management.However,there are some deviations between the characteristics of family farms' practice development and its theoretical standards.(2)The overall evaluation of family farmers on the six-dimensional entrepreneurial environment is general.Relatively speaking,the policy support environment and cultural construction environment are better,followed by the vocational education environment and infrastructure construction environment,and the financial credit environment and marketing management environment are worse.(3)There are different levels of performance difficulties in the three-level entrepreneurial performance of family farms,especially the problems of survival performance and innovation performance.(4)Externalentrepreneurial environment has profound effects on the internal entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Most of the six-dimensional entrepreneurial environment have significant positive effects on the three-level entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Different dimensions of entrepreneurial environment have different effects on different levels of family farm entrepreneurial performance.The more comprehensive and favorable external entrepreneurial environment is more conducive to releasing the internal multi-level entrepreneurial performance of family farms,while the more one-sided and adverse external entrepreneurial environment is more restrictive to the internal multi-level entrepreneurial performance of family farms.(5)The external entrepreneurial environment has deep impacts on the internal entrepreneurial performance of family farms through resources.The improvement of the entrepreneurial performance of family farms is essentially the process and result of the internal demand,acquisition,utilization and transformation of resources in the external entrepreneurial environment of family farms.Based on the above conclusions,a set of policy recommendations for regulating the external entrepreneurial environment of family farms is proposed.Under the condition of limited policy resources,the regional government is more suitable to focus on the two outstanding performance problems of the survival performance and innovation performance of family farms.Adjust the survival entrepreneurial environment and enhance the market profitability of family farms.Improve the innovative entrepreneurial environment and strengthen the momentum of innovative development in family farms.Strengthen the construction of horizontal and vertical integration and improve the resource acquisition effect of family farms.Relevant policy suggestions should be able to effectively regulate the external entrepreneurial environment of family farms,which is ultimately conducive to achieving the fundamental goal of improving the performance of multi-level entrepreneurship of family farms in an orderly way.
