Research On The Impact Of Entrepreneurial Capability And Entrepreneurial Role Model On Entrepreneurial Performance Of Family Farms

With the "four modernizations" synchronous propulsion,entrepreneurship has become the effective way and inevitable choice to farmers' survival and development.Based on the rural environment and the characteristics of farmers,family farm,which takes the family as the main body,is the most important form of rural entrepreneurship in rural areas.Meanwhile,family farm is also the ideal carrier of cultivating new professional farmers,which can help deal with the problem "who is going to farm" and let agriculture have qualified successors.In the process of entrepreneurship based on family farms,family farmers as the owner and operator of the farm,their entrepreneurial capability is particularly important for entrepreneurial activities.As the final attribution of the whole process of entrepreneurial activities,entrepreneurial performance of family farms plays decisive role in the survival and development of family farm.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the influence of family farmers'entrepreneurial ability on the entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Based on this,this paper constructs "entrepreneurial capability-entrepreneurial performance of family farms" relationship concept model,introducing entrepreneurial role model as a moderator variable into the relationship between entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial performance of family farms to explore the internal mechanism of entrepreneurial capability,entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Firstly,reviewing the related theories and literatures of family farms,professional farmers,entrepreneurship and farmer entrepreneurship.Secondly,combining with the actual situation of the entrepreneurship of family farm in the rural areas of our country and basing the social learning theory,this paper constructs the research model.Finally,based on the survey data of 184 family farmers from three provinces in central china,adopting hierarchical regression model to empirically analyze the effect of entrepreneurial ability on entrepreneurial performance of family farms as well as the moderating effects of entrepreneurial role models.The results show that business development capability and resource acquisition capability is positively related to the entrepreneurial performance of family farms,specifically,the stronger business development capability and resource acquisition capability is,the better performance of family farm is.However,the impact of risk bearing capability on the entrepreneurial performance of family farm is not significant.At the same time,the entrepreneurial role model plays a significant positive moderating role in the relationship between business development capability,resource acquisition capability and entrepreneurial performance of family farm.In the case of high entrepreneurial role model,the entrepreneurial performance of family farm is higher.In addition,this study also finds that the female,the higher education level,the longer continuing period,can product better entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Based on the above empirical results,this paper puts forward some policy implications:family farmers should pay attention to improve their own entrepreneurial capability,the local government should establish the education and training system for family farmers and encourage family farmers to learn from entrepreneurial role model.
