With the continuous improvement of warehouse automation degree, the parts-to-picker operation mode based on Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV)is widely used.In the storage area of the warehouse, the AGV will receive system commands of order picking and move the target movable shelves to the picking station. Therefore, the storage allocation of the items inside the shelf and the storage location allocation of the shelves in the storage area are the key factors affecting the efficiency of the AGV operation. At the same time, the use of a large number of AGVs also consumes electrical energy. In the context of Industry 4.0,the lowest overall energy consumption of the warehouse is also one of the objectives of the warehouse operation.Based on this,in order to improve the overall operational efficiency of the parts-to-picker system and respond quickly to the customer's order requirements,it is necessary to optimize the storage of the items inside the shelves and the distribution of the shelves in the storage area in the order picking process,so that the AGV can improve working efficiency while reducing system energy consumption. This paper first analyzes the warehouse layout of the parts-to-picker system and the operation mode of the AGV,and then analyzes the functional division of the storage area, the item storage characteristics and the storage allocation principle. Then, the operation mode of the AGV handling movable shelf in the parts-to-picker system, order picking system dynamics, the energy consumption generation and the difference between traditional manual order picking mode and automatic operation mode are analyzed. Then based on the characteristics of the parts-to-picker operation mode, the storage allocation problems of items inside the shelves and the storage allocation of movable shelves in the storage area are studied. The storage allocation of items in the shelf is mainly based on the construction of the item storage allocation model and based on the items historical order data, using the association analysis method and the clustering method to correlate the products,so that the items that are often purchased simultaneously can be stored at the same time.Inside the same shelf, the overall cohesion of the shelf is maximized. The storage allocation of shelves in the storage area is mainly based on a decentralized storage strategy based on shelf turnover rate, which avoids a large number of AGVs congested and concentrated in high-frequency operation areas at the same time, and stores shelves with high shelf turnover rate. The storage allocation model of the shelf and the AGV operational efficiency evaluation model under the strategy are used to test the effectiveness of the strategy. Finally, based on the actual sales situation of the enterprise, combined with the actual order data, the association analysis and cluster analysis of the items categories are carried out,and the storage allocation simulations are carried out in the different warehouse scales environment. Then the number of completed tasks, the driving distance and operating energy consumption indicators are used to evaluate the efficiency of the AGV operation.Through the simulation experiment, the effects of the traditionalvelocity-based strategy and the strategy proposed in this paper are compared, and the average index value of the proposed strategy is compared and analyzed under different warehouse scales. After analysis and calculation,it is found that the strategy proposed in this paper is better than the traditional strategy.Under different scales, with the increase of the category of items stored in the shelf, the number of AGV access to the shelf is reduced, which improves the efficiency of AGV.At the same time, the storage allocation strategy proposed in this paper can reduce the average turning frequency of AGV and improve the smoothness of AGV driving in the storage area.In addition, under different warehouse scales and AGV quantities, the average operating energy consumption of AGV is also reduced by different degrees, and the impact of the storage allocation strategy on the energy consumption of AGV has a scale effect.
