The service sector is a customer-centered industry,and how to improve service level and customer satisfaction is one of the core issues.In order to achieve a certain level of service,appropriate human resources is necessary.Therefore,good human resources on the one hand can meet the need to achieve customer satisfaction,and also should consider saving labor cost for the company.In this paper,simulation software ExtendSim is used as a tool to analyze the problem in a service project.The oversea study industry is a very special service industry since it has peaks and troughs.During peak time,the project will face long wait times for customers and also service personnel shortage.ExtendSim model is specifically designed for this research to provide quantitative results.Customer maximum wait time,average wait time,and personnel utilization are three indicators to measure the status of the project.To solve the real problem for the project,this paper presents three solutions-overtime,hiring temporary staff,hiring full-time employees,and the effectiveness of the three solutions are measured respectively.Then optimization method is used to provide an integrated and optimized solution for the project.In this paper,project human resources management and service system simulation model are used to solve practical problems in a service project.It provides the ideas and methods as a reference for future research.
