Study On The Impact Of Industrial Structure Adjustment On Economic Growth In Jiangsu

Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly,and has become the second largest economy in the world,creating a miracle in the history of the world economy.However,since the 18 th National Congress,China's economy has entered a new normal.The economic growth rate has changed from high-speed growth to medium-high-speed growth.Emphasis has been placed on adjusting the industrial structure and promoting the coordinated development of regional economy.It has become an important task for China's economic development to "stabilize growth,adjust structure and promote reform".Realizing industrial transformation and upgrading while guaranteeing basic economic growth has become an important part of the economic development of provinces in China at this stage,and is also the focus of attention of government officials,scientific researchers and the public.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress points out that China's economy has changed from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development,and is in the key period of transforming the mode of development,optimizing the economic structure and transforming the driving force of growth.Accelerating transformation and upgrading,optimizing industrial structure and providing new impetus for economic growth are important requirements for the economic development of all provinces in China,as well as important guarantees for realizing high quality of our economy.In this context,this paper takes Jiangsu Province as an example.Firstly,it combs the domestic and foreign literature and related theories to lay a theoretical foundation for the study of the relationship between industrial restructuring and economic growth in Jiangsu Province.Secondly,it systematically analyses the present situation of Jiangsu's industrial structure and its evolution in the past 40 years,and introduces the main theories of economic growth.Then,based on the economic data of 13 cities in Jiangsu Province from 1978 to 2017,a static and dynamic spatial panel model is established to study the impact of industrial restructuring on economic growth.Finally,policy recommendations are put forward according to the results of the model.Through the above research,it is found that there are obvious spatial spillover effects and inertia in Jiangsu's economic growth;Rationalization of industrial structure and upgrading of industrial structure can effectively promote economic growth,but their spatial spillover effects are different;Opening to the outside world,urbanization and human capital investment have positive effects on economic growth,and are also important factors affecting economic catch-up in backward areas.Combining with the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward relevant policy recommendations in order to achieve sound and rapid economic development in Jiangsu Province.
