Study On Agglomeration And Convergence Of Provincial Economic Growth Based On Spatial Econometric Analysis

Agglomeration of economic growth has become a common phenomenon of global economic development,a growing number of economists are realizing that regional economic development is no longer affected only by relevant factors within the region,but also affected by the economic growth of adjacent regions.Many studies on regional economic growth in the past have regarded the research units as independent individuals and neglected the possible interation among the research units.Therefore,The New Economic Geography added space factor into the economic growth model to provide another research path for regional economic growth research.In this paper,the relevant issues:1.Provincial economic growth between the distribution of spatial agglomeration as well as the specific differences in local area;2.Influencing factors and interrelationships of promoting spatial agglomeration effect of inter-provincial economic growth;3.Whether there is spatial convergence effect and which influencing factors in inter-regional economic growth in our country.This paper takes The New Economic Geography and Spatial Econometric as guiding theory.Firstly,to test spatial agglomeration effects of regional economic growth in China by using spatial distributiorn map,Moran's I index,Moran scatter plot and Local indicators of spatial association(LISA).Secondly,to analyze the agglomeration of Chinese inter-provincial economic growth by using cross-sectional data and panel data respectively to construct the spatial error model(SEM)and spatial lag model(SLM).Thirdly,to test the convergence of Chinese provincial economic growth by constructing the absolute ?-convergence model,the ?-convergence model and the club convergence model.Finally,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the inter-regional economic development in our country according to the results of empirical analysis.This article obtains the following main conclusions:1.There is a significant spatial correlation between regional economic growth in Chinese provinces,and this spatial correlation is becoming more and more obvious as time goes on;2.The results of the model based on the data of economic development in 2015 show that urbanization level and foreign invested capital have no significant impact on the provincial economic growth;human capital,per fiscal revenue,traffic degree of development,industrialization level,fixed assets investment and foreign trade level have a positive impact on provincial economic growth;while labor has a negative impact on provincial economic growth;3.The results of the studies based on panel data of economic development from 2000 to 2015 show that per fiscal expenditure and urbanization level have no significant impact on the provincial economic growth;human capital,traffic degree development,saving deposits,per fiscal revenue,industrialization level,fixed assets investment and foreign trade level have positive effects on economic growth in different degrees,while the labor force and foreign invested capital have negative effects on the economic growth of each province.4.There is a significant spatial convergence and club convergence phenomenon in provincial economic growth.Urbanization level has little impact on the convergence of regional economic growth;human capital,per fiscal revenue and expenditure,saving deposits,foreign invested capital,industrialization level,fixed assets investment,foreign trade level and traffic degree of development degree have promoted our province economic growth while labor has constrained regional economic growth.In view of the conclusion of this paper,we can make the following suggestions for the provincial econometric growth:1.improve the level of education,increase the human capital reserve;2.Adjust the structure of fiscal expenditure,increase support for backward areas;3.Improve the degree of external development,pay attention to capital efficiency;4.Science to promote urbanization process,optimize the urban space layout.Through the suggestion of above proposals,we hope that we will make the use of the influence mechanism of the government's macro-control and market competition to make effective use of the spatial impact mechanism and realize the most interactive of the regional economic growth and agglomeration.The promotion of economic growth,The accelerate the pace of economic restructuring,narrow the gap between regional development and promote the steady and healthy development of regional economy and so has a positive policy guidance.
