Analysis Of The Effect Of Commercial Banks In Issuing Green Bonds

At present,China’s economy has entered a new normal of economic growth,such as slowing growth,structural optimization,and pursuing quality.The development of a green economy has become an inevitable choice for this critical period of economic transformation and upgrading.The development of green economy needs to rely on the support of green finance,commercial banks are an important part of China’s financial system and play a decisive role in the development of green finance.As the main product of the commercial bank’s green financial system,green bonds are still controversial because of whether they can produce positive effects on commercial banks,therefore,commercial banks lack the endogenous motivation to develop green bond business.Industrial Bank is the earliest commercial bank to develop green bond business in China,this paper has a certain practical significance with its case of issuing green bonds.This paper uses case analysis to study the effect of the issue of green bonds by Industrial Bank.First,review the relevant literature and theoretical basis of green bonds,then,from the basic situation of Industrial Bank,the introduction of green bond case and the issue of green bond motivation analysis to introduce the case,finally,from the three dimensions of financial effect,stock price effect and green effect,combined with the situation of banks in the same industry,the financial indicators and related data are used to analyze the effect of the issue of green bonds issued by Industrial Bank,furthermore,draw the conclusion of this paper.After studying the case of the issue of green bonds by Industrial Bank,this paper summarizes the following conclusions:(1)The issue of green bonds by Industrial Bank can produce positive financial effects;(2)Commercial banks assume social responsibility by issuing green bonds,which are recognized by the market and investors,and can generate positive stock price effects;(3)The issuance of green bonds can make a huge green effect on social and economic development.In addition,due to the differences in the operating conditions of different commercial banks,the conclusions drawn in this paper do not necessarily apply to all commercial banks.According to the research conclusions,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions from the perspectives of government departments,regulatory authorities and commercial banks themselves.
