There are three strategic goals in the healthy China 2030 plan issued by the state council in 2016.The first is to basically form a health industry system with rich connotation and reasonable structure by 2020,with the main health indicators reaching the level of middle-and high-income countries.Second,we will continue to improve the level and quality of health services by 2030,with major health indicators reaching the level of high-income countries.Finally,a healthy level that is compatible with the building of a modern socialist country by 2050.The plan proposes to actively develop commercial health insurance,gradually improve the nationwide medical insurance system,and significantly increase the proportion of commercial health insurance payouts in the total health expenses.China's health insurance premiums will reach 2 trillion yuan by 2020,according to Yao Fei,vice President of the insurance association.In 2018,the original premium income of national health insurance was 544.813 billion yuan.To realize the original premium income of 2 trillion yuan,the health insurance market will enter a new stage of development in the future.As the main product of health insurance market,critical illness insurance will play a major role.A combination of medical technology innovation,rising disposable income and wealth,an aging population and the growing importance of non-public hospitals is driving the long-term trend of the market,which will promote the sustainable development of the health insurance business.The 2018 China commercial critical illness insurance development index report shows that residents are aware of the channel to spread the risk of critical illness through critical illness insurance,but are still in the dark about it but have not taken practical actions.The results showed that even when people felt they were at high risk for critical illnesses,fewer people bought commercial insurance for critical illnesses.Nearly half of the respondents felt that major illness insurance was necessary,but fewer than 7 percent did.In general,residents are more traditional and single in their resistance to disease risk,and most of them deal with major disease expenses through self-financing and basic medical insurance.This paper is mainly divided into six parts.The first part introduces the background and significance of this study,domestic and foreign scholars' research on critical illness insurance,research ideas and methods,innovations and shortcomings.The background of this paper is that the coverage of social insurance in China is very wide,but it can only provide residents with the most basic medical security,set the starting line and cap,which means that medical payments beyond the scope need to be borne by the residents themselves.Once suffering from major diseases,we are faced with huge medical costs,post-operative rehabilitation costs and loss of economic income,which can not be compensated by social insurance,and critical illness insurance can solve these problems.The significance of this paper lies in the analysis of the factors affecting the demand of critical illness insurance,which can help to avoid the phenomenon of returning to poverty due to illness,and also provide protection for the living standards of residents.Further analysis of critical illness insurance products can draw some problems existing in the supply of critical illness insurance products in China,and can design more in line with consumer demand.Products,so as to make the critical illness insurance market more healthy and harmonious development.Scholars at home and abroad mainly focus on the role of critical illness insurance,the incidence of serious diseases,insurance premium rate,claims and critical illness insurance development factors and so on.This paper uses literature review method,questionnaire survey method and empirical analysis method to write the paper.The innovative point of this paper is to study the influencing factors of consumer's critical illness insurance from the perspective of critical illness insurance products,which has some novelty in the perspective of research.Secondly,the micro-data of consumers are obtained by using the method of questionnaire survey.According to the data of questionnaire survey,the influencing factors of consumer's critical illness insurance demand are analyzed by mathematical statistics and combined with the model.The empirical analysis is carried out on the model.The insufficiency of this paper is to obtain information by means of questionnaire survey.Because of its limited ability,there are some deficiencies in the sample size,and the problem analysis is not thorough enough.The second part introduces the critical illness insurance and its demand influencing factors.This part is analyzed from four aspects.Firstly,it analyses the concept,types,coverage and characteristics of critical illness insurance;secondly,it analyses the role of critical illness insurance;secondly,it compares critical illness insurance with related insurance,including cancer insurance,health insurance,disability insurance and accidental injury insurance,and obtains the particularity of critical illness insurance through comparative analysis;lastly,it analyses critical illness insurance.The influencing factors of insurance demand are analyzed in terms of major disease risk,economic factor,population factor and risk perception.The third part introduces the critical illness insurance products at home and abroad and their development.Through the analysis of the development of critical illness insurance at home and abroad,and the specific analysis of some critical illness insurance products at home and abroad,the differences between critical illness insurance products at home and abroad and the existing problems of critical illness insurance products at home and abroad are analyzed.Through drawing lessons from foreign critical illness insurance products and development,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions for the sixth part of China's critical illness insurance development.The fourth part is to analyze the questionnaire and make a simple statistics and analysis of the results of the questionnaire.According to the feedback from the questionnaire,the proportion of purchasing/planning to purchase critical illness insurance accounts for 70%,which indicates that the market potential of critical illness insurance is still huge.The questionnaire also gave feedback to consumers' different preferences for critical illness insurance products,68% of them preferred returned products,32% preferred consumer products,60% preferred multiple-payment products,40% preferred one-time-payment products,and most consumers preferred less than 200,000 yuan for the choice of protection quota.Products.Through the analysis of questionnaires,it can be concluded that consumer preferences can be clearly distinguished.It is of practical significance to analyze the demand for critical illness insurance from the perspective of critical illness insurance products.In the fifth part,according to the results of the questionnaire,the influencing factors of the demand for major diseases insurance are analyzed.From the empirical results,we can see that the influencing factors of the demand for critical illness insurance are age,family income,residence,occupation,family population,marital status,self-assessment of health,medical expenses,types of critical illness insurance products and the number of reimbursements.There is a significant positive correlation between age and purchase of critical illness insurance,that is,with the increase of age,the possibility of purchase of critical illness insurance will increase.On the one hand,with the increase of age,the probability of major diseases will increase;on the other hand,it may be because with the increase of age,the understanding of major diseases deepens,hoping to alleviate economic pressure and provide security for life by purchasing critical illness insurance.There is a negative correlation between the number of family members and the purchase of critical illness insurance,which may be influenced by the traditional thinking of our country.Most Chinese families have one family to help each other.The larger the family population,the stronger people will feel.Therefore,there is no idea of buying critical illness insurance to spread the risk.There is a positive correlation between marital status and purchase of critical illness insurance because married people are more planning for their families and pay more attention to family risk dispersion.The results of health self-assessment are contrary to the general thinking,and the probability of purchasing insurance with general or poor health self-assessment will decrease.There is a positive correlation between family annual income and purchase of critical illness insurance.With the decline of residential economic level,the probability of purchasing serious illness insurance has decreased,which is consistent with the higher income,the greater the probability of purchasing.When the product type is savings/returns,the probability of purchasing critical illness insurance will be lower than that of consuming products.When the number of reimbursements is multiple,the probability of purchasing critical illness insurance will be lower than one-time reimbursement.The sixth part is to put forward suggestions for the government,insurance companies and consumers respectively.In view of the policy support of the government for the development of critical illness insurance,and the sharing of data,experience and other resources,some suggestions are put forward.In view of the diversification of insurance products supply,the specialization of insurance claims,the provision of health management services,the scientificalization and digitization of insurance industry,the increase of propaganda for major diseases insurance,and the selection of propaganda methods,some suggestions are put forward.Suggestions are put forward for consumers from three aspects: the choice of premium expenditure;the choice of guarantee quota;and getting rid of the misunderstanding of critical illness insurance products.
