Advances in medical technology have improved the cure rate of many major diseases,but the high cost of treatment and the cost of rehabilitation in the later stages of the disease make it unaffordable for many patients,causing huge economic burdens on families.The phenomenon of "returning to poverty after illness" still exists,which requires the role of commercial critical illness insurance.The purpose of the birth of critical illness insurance is to provide an effective solution for the huge treatment costs of patients when the insured suffers from major illnesses stipulated in the contract,to provide financial support in the process of patient rehabilitation,and to alleviate the consequences of the illness The reduction of family income reduces the financial burden on the family.Since the critical illness insurance entered the Chinese market in 1995,it has developed rapidly.The scale of premium income has continued to expand.The government has issued a series of documents such as the "Health Insurance Management Measures",which has provided a good market environment for the development of commercial critical illness insurance.There are still many problems in the process,so it is necessary to conduct more detailed research on commercial critical illness insurance,propose solutions to the problems existing in the development process,and promote the further development of the commercial critical illness insurance market.This article selects Tangshan City as a sample area,analyzes the development basis for the development of Tangshan City's commercial critical illness insurance from the aspects of population structure,economic level and industrial environment;analyzes the business of Tangshan City from the aspects of business entities,critical illness products,premium income and compensation.Development status of critical illness insurance.Secondly,based on the current development situation,based on reading relevant literature and materials,design a questionnaire from five perspectives: the basic characteristics of consumers,economic level,health status,attitude to critical illness risk,and awareness of critical illness insurance.Select18 Residents over the age of spending ability to issue questionnaires,and through analysis of valid questionnaires,we can know that: consumer's gender,marital status,education level andfamily income status all have an impact on the purchase of critical illness insurance.Finally,according to the results of the questionnaire survey and the development status of critical illness insurance,it is found that there are problems in the development of critical illness insurance in Tangshan: consumers are not willing to purchase critical illness insurance and their purchasing power,insurance companies are not in place,and product homogeneity is serious,The low degree of specialization of critical illness insurance business,disorderly market competition,etc.,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for existing problems: increase publicity,expand marketing channels,refine the critical illness insurance market,improve the quality of insurance company services,strengthen and medical Institutional cooperation and perfect market supervision to promote better development of critical illness insurance in Tangshan City in the future.
