Research On Risk Management Of ETO R&D Project In S Company

ETO(Engineering to Order)is an order-oriented project that has a unique engineering design or major modification according to customer.Such projects usually involve product customization and product diversification.So,the traditional R&D process and management methods are constantly facing new challenges.High technology manufacturing enterprises are focus on how to conduct scientific and comprehensive risk management in the process of ETO R&D.Known by domestic and international practice and research,a reasonable risk management process can effectively reduce the risk and cost for new product development,as well as improve the project efficiency and quality,which is one of the key factors for the success of project.Therefore,this paper combines the background and current situation of S company's ETO product R&D project and then studies the risk management of ETO product.In order to carry out a comprehensive risk research on the ETO product R&D project of S Company,this paper first puts forward a risk management framework with risk identification,risk assessment,risk response and risk monitoring with the characteristics of project R&D risk management.Then,it introduces the current situation of ETO R&D project management in S Company and the problems in risk management,which needs scientific and comprehensive risk management.In the process of risk identification,based on the WBS decomposition of R&D process,the main risk factors in each stage of R&D project are identified by brainstorming and questionnaire survey.In the process of risk assessment,based on risk identification,the risk evaluation index system of each stage of R&D project is established,and the key risk factors and high-risk failure modes are obtained by FAHP and FMEA.In the risk response,based on the general strategy of risk response and the communication between the expert group,the response methods of high-risk failure modes are proposed one by one.Finally,this paper proposes a risk monitoring process for S company's ETO R&D project,and optimizes the original R&D process At the end of this paper,summarizes the receipts and shortcomings in the risk management of ETO product R&D,and prospects the future research direction of risk management...
