| Nowadays,with the growing homogenization of the products,the competition between enterprises is becoming more and more intense.More and more companies realize that reducing operating costs and improving operational efficiency are keys to success in the fierce market competition.How to improve the operations management level of enterprises under the existing service conditions has become an important issue in the study of major enterprises.With the vigorous development of electronic commerce,China’s logistics and distribution center is rapidly growing up like mushroom.But the level of service varied and is uneven.As an end node,DC provides "last mile" logistics services,which directly affects the satisfaction level of the customer.And high efficiency of the delivery service can help enterprises to establish a good brand image.However,the efficient delivery needs an efficient operating system to support.The function layout of the DC,the inventory level,etc directly or indirectly affect the operation efficiency and cost of the DC.In order to solve the practical operations management problems faced by the distribution center,this article studies the problems from four aspects: inventory management,functional area layout design,staff work quality and transportation management.Then it proposes the corresponding improvement plan and the optimization strategy by using the EIQ Analysis,ABC classification management method,SLP method and so on,aims at reducing the enterprise logistics cost,enhancing the distribution center operation management level,creating more profits for the enterprise,simultaneously providing better service for the upstream and downstream enterprise.After investigation of the H Company’s distribution center,it summarizes the influencing factors of the current situation,and then proposes the corresponding solutions: Using the EIQ method to sort the goods into 3 types of ABC to optimize the goods’ storage location,inventory control,etc.It is also proposed to add a fast transfer area in the DC to optimize the functional areas by using the SLP analysis method.Some suggestions on human resource and transportation management are also put forward.After the implementation of the improvement program,the turnover rate of the goods in the warehouse has been significantly improved,the number of stocks decreased,the functional area layout is more reasonable,ABC commodity storage is optimized,operating efficiency has increased significantly,not only corporate profits have increased,and staff quality,customer service Level to further enhance the company’s brand image. |
