Under the economic trend of rapid changes in market environment and increasing competition in the industry,the survival and development of the organization cannot be without the organization's self-correction and continuous innovation.But the employeesilence in the organization will affect the timely feedback of information of organizational management,reduce the quality of organizational decision-making and the ability to correct mistakes,and hinder the progress and development of the organization.The leader is the main object of the employee's advice,and also represent organizations to interact and communicate with employees.Leaders also allocate resources to employees,reward and punish employees,and determine whether employees can be promoted.The interpersonal ability of the leader will directly affect the employee's choice of silence or advice when facing the problem.Therefore,this study explored the relationship between the leaderpolitical skills and the employeesilence from the perspective of Leader-member interaction,and tries to explore the internal mechanisms of the relationship.This study used a multi-point longitudinal study design to survey the leaderpolitical skill and the subordinates' trust in leader,perceived supervisory support,and employeesilence through three questionnaires.We got the data of 249 employees from 66 teams.The data were processed by correlation analysis,Reliability and validity analysis,descriptive statistical,and hierarchical linear model analysis.The results of hierarchical linear model analysis show that:(1)the leader political skill have a significant negative predictive effect on the employee silence,and have a significant positive predictive effect on the subordinate's trust in leader and perceived supervisory support;(2)subordinate's trust in leader and perceived supervisory support have a significant negative predictive effect on their silent behavior;(3)subordinate's trust in leader plays a mediating role between leader political skill and employee silence;(4)subordinate's perceived supervisory support plays a mediating role between leader political skill and employee silence.The research results preliminarily reveal the importance of the leader's political skills to alleviate the silent employee silence,and enriched the studies about influence factors of employee silence.The research results also suggest that the organization should pay attention to cultivating the political skills of leaders,and encourage leaders to establish good interactions with their subordinates,so that employees can break the silence and promptly feedback when they find problems or have opinions and ideas.At the same time,it also reminds leaders it is essential to improve their political skills,establish and maintain subordinates' trust,and try his best to make subordinates perceive more support.
