An Empirical Study On The Reconstruction Of Industries In Southwest Mountainous Villages

The industry reconstruction is one of the important paths to realize industrial revitalization in rural revitalization.Studying the reconstruction of industries in rural settlements,is of great significance to formulate scientific plannings for industrial development in rural areas of China.This research took the industrial reconstruction as the logical starting point,chose Huangshui Town(a rural settlement in southwest China)as a case area,used the methods of participatory rural assessment(PRA),GIS spatial analysis and high-resolution remote sensing imagery.The experiment aimed to study the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the industrial space,in the transformation process of leading industries,from the traditional agricultural industry to the tourism industry.The results revealed the rural settlement industry reconstruction,and its spatial reconstruction process-driven mechanism.The author discussed the promotion mechanism of stakeholders on the industrial transformation in the process of tourism urbanization,and put forward the optimization regulation path of tourism urbanization system under the framework of rural revitalization in the end.The main results are as follows:(1)The leading industries of Huangshui Town,gradually shifted from the traditional berberine and leeks industries to the emerging tourism service industry,during the development in the past 20 years.The urban space has experienced three stages: traditional business service leading,accelerated tourism service industry formation and tourism service industry improvement,in the process of transition from traditional industries to emerging tourism industries which was along with the development of traditional agricultural industries.(2)During the research period,Huangshui Town experienced a huge leap from the traditional rural settlements in the southwestern mountains to the modern summer vacation tourist areas.Huangshui Town's original isolation space of production,livelihood and ecology,have obviously accumulated and produced,in the transition from the traditional agricultural industry space to the emerging service industry space.The original urban industries tended to be service-oriented,and the rise of the tourism service industry has realized the transition of the traditional agricultural development model.(3)The reconstruction of traditional rural settlement industry was the result of the joint action of complexity system power.It had the characteristics of joint regulation of multi-subject structure.The reconstruction of traditional rural settlement industry was endowed by characteristic natural resources,It was impacted by residents' choice andmulti-agent participation,government planning and Policy guidance,industrial economies of scale and agglomeration effects,transformation and upgrading of market demand,etc.While the accumulation of resource elements caused by urbanization and social economic development was also an important foundation for tourism industry agglomeration.(4)There were a series of problems in the reconstruction process of traditional rural settlement industry,such as: the low integration of agricultural tourism industry,the weak development of agricultural industry,the loss of labor force,the seasonally prominent of tourism service industry,the unreasonable proportion of industrial land,and the insufficient participation of local residents.Aiming at the revitalization of rural revitalization industry,the author proposed that the government should improve planning guidance to highlight the characteristics of local advantages;guide the transformation of traditional agricultural industry,strengthen the revitalization of traditional industries;enhance the integration of agricultural tourism industry,optimize the industrial system structure;improve product structure and off-season tourism services;adjust land patterns and explore new business combinations;guide residents to participate and improve residents' welfare;innovate development mechanisms and increase factor support.
