Study On The Demand And Pattern Of Rural Housing Reconstruction After The Earthquake In Dujiangyan Region

After the earthquake of Wenchuan,the reconstruction project paid more attention on recovering the infrastructure and rebuilding in urbane region. However, the neglected reconstruction in rural area lagging behind the schedule, the establishment of residential shelters in particular, faced many problems.A delegation formed under this circumstance by the union of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai Construction Management Office of Shanghai Building Material Industry investigated in earthquake-stricken area at Dujiangyan. The professionals collected the first hand material and submitted a report identifying key techniques to help rebuilding rural dwells.It was highly approved by the local government and local reconstruction coordination headquarters for the contribution made.In this article, in order to possess the real thoughts and concrete requirements from local residents in village, the data were collected via interview as well as questionnaire within the research scope at the earthquake-stricken area in countryside. The paper proposed the reconstruction model of rural housing after seism and summarized the problems of mass construction. The author also made advice on the layout and planning of mass construction according to the functionality and feature of districts using the existing experience of the mass construction undertaken. This afforded a salutary reference to facilitate the reconstruction at countryside in effective measures after outbreak of particular disaster.
