Income Comparison Study Of Opportunistic Entrepreneurs And Survival Entrepreneurs

In 2015,Premier Li Keqiang stated in his government work report that “promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovating,people can not only expand employment,increase residents’ income,but also promote the vertical flow of society and fairness with justice”.Based on the characteristics of entrepreneurial management,this paper studies the income difference between opportunistic entrepreneurs and survival entrepreneurs,which is conducive to measuring the reality of entrepreneurs’ income in China,and further deducing the orientation of entrepreneurial policies.Using the CLDS database,this paper did descriptive comparative analysis and OLS measurement analysis(simultaneous use of propensity score matching method to mitigate model endogeneity).The study found that opportunistic entrepreneurs have obvious "high income" characteristics,and the wage income gap between the two types of entrepreneurs is greater than the operating income gap.First,opportunistic entrepreneurs are 30.75% higher than the total annual income of survival entrepreneurs.Second,opportunistic entrepreneurs are 39.28% higher than the annual wage income of survival entrepreneurs.Third,opportunistic entrepreneurs have an annual operating income of 21.58% higher than that of surviving entrepreneurs.In order to increase the income of entrepreneurs,the government should guide laborers to engage in opportunistic entrepreneurship and maintain the income balance between the two types of entrepreneurs.First,guide entrepreneurs to engage in secondary entrepreneurship.Second,based on the industrial characteristics,guide the development of opportunistic entrepreneurship to the high-end service industry.Third,based on the regional characteristics,set up entrepreneurial orientation in different regions to achieve income balance among region.Fourth,encourage opportunistic entrepreneurs to innovate and maintain the stability of survival entrepreneurs.Fifth,improve the operating income of entrepreneurs,and promote the operating income gap greater than the wage income gap.
