In the era of knowledge economy, knowledge is a powerful driving force supporting regional economic growth, and knowledge spillover is an important embodiment of the knowledge gap between regions.Due to the large regional economic differences, the economic development is unbalanced. Therefore, the work center of all regions in Jiangsu province is to promote the coordinated economic development of all regions in Jiangsu province and accelerate the industrial transformation and upgrading. The research analyzes the economic growth mechanism from the perspective of knowledge spillover and explores the influence of knowledge spillover on economic growth, which is of great significance for improving the absorption and transformation ability of knowledge spillover in Jiangsu province and promoting the sustainable and healthy economic development of Jiangsu province. The research focuses on the main line of "the influence of knowledge spillover on the economic growth of Jiangsu province".Research adopts the research methods of literature research, spatial econometric analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to study the influence of knowledge spillover on the economic growth of Jiangsu province.First, the research analyzes the concept of knowledge spillover, the measurement method and the influence mechanism of knowledge spillover on economic growth by sorting out domestic and foreign classic journals and collecting relevant literature and materials. Then the research measures knowledge spillover according to the knowledge spillover model and makes a descriptive analysis of the current situation of knowledge spillover and economic development in Jiangsu province. Finally, the research builds the spatial econometric model based on the new economic growth theory, analyzes the influence of knowledge spillover on the economic growth of Jiangsu province comprehensively, and puts forward some feasible policy suggestions for the economic development of Jiangsu province. The results show that: the economic development of different regions is unbalanced, and the development level of southern Jiangsu province is obviously higher than that of northern and central Jiangsu province.By analyzing the residuals of knowledge production function,it is found that knowledge spillover exists among regions, which further verifies that the economic development of Jiangsu province is spatially dependent and unbalanced.Due to the influence of geographical distance and learning ability, the knowledge spillovers from southern Jiangsu province are relatively small and the conversion rate is low. With its own economic foundation and talent advantages, southern Jiangsu province can absorb and transform knowledge overflow more effectively.By comparing the results of panel data model, spatial error model(SEM),spatial lag model(SLM)and spatial Dubin model(SDM),it is found that the fitting effect of SDM is better than panel data model,SEM and SLM model. The results show that knowledge spillover has a significant positive impact on regional economic growth in Jiangsu province. With other conditions remaining unchanged, the economic growth of Jiangsu province increased by 0.6612% on average for every 1% increase of the knowledge spillover absorbed. Finally,on the basis of empirical analysis, research puts forward some policy suggestions for the economic development of Jiangsu province: Attach importance to inter-regional knowledge spillovers and foster them into new drivers of economic growth;optimize the regional innovation environment and combine independent innovation with knowledge spillover;Strengthen regional cooperation and exchanges to facilitate the flow and absorption of knowledge spillovers;improve the mechanism for regional talent flow and seize the commanding heights of talent competition;improve their knowledge stock and lead technological innovation ability to continue to improve.
