Xu Qing-fu(1879-1961),a native of Zhenhai,Zhejiang, was a famous economist in the field of currency and finance during the Republican period.Xu Qing-fu spent most of his life in modern Chinese society, and economic thought had the characteristics of coexistence of old and new.The formation and evolution of economic thought was mainly influenced by Western economic theories, the official ideology of the Nanjing National Government, the mainstream social economic thought during the Republic of China, traditional Chinese cultural thought, and individual life experiences and perceptions.Xu Qing-fu digested and absorbed Western economic theories. The philosophical foundation of Xu Qing-fu's economic thought was "communicative" and "circular",such as the smooth circulation of the transformation between the three things, currency and power, and the smooth circulation of the economic process. The entire economic thought was close to the economic thought of the Chinese Economic Society.Xu Qing-fu's economic thought was divided into economic theories and economic policies. The economic theory was mainly the interpretation of the three words "economy, currency, capital",and ultimately the establishment of livelihood economics."Economy" means coexistence of wealth and spirit to maintain human survival and development;currency was always an exchange medium, standard or certificate, with contract and credit embedded,it is a credit currency concept;capital is the use of power,is Material and property;value theory advocates the coexistence of utility value theory and labor value theory. The level of economics theory is in the middle position in the economics circle during the Republic of China period, which is a reflection of the effect of Western economic theory in China.Economic policies, such as the grain currency system, the central bank system, and the state-owned land policy, were guided by the economic principles he held, and they are proposed based on the actual economic problems facing society. Some were feasible and adopted by the government, and some were beyond their era or purely.Utopian and shelved.
