Research On The Influence Of Intellectual Property Protection On FDI Inflow In Jiangsu Province

With the deepening of economic globalization,more and more countries and regions pay attention to the role of foreign direct investment(FDI)in promoting the economic development of host countries,which also leads to more and more research on the influencing factors of FDI.It is generally believed in academia that the factors that affect China's FDI nflow are labor cost,market scale,trade openness and so on.After the entry into force of the agreement on trade-related intellectual property rights(trips)in 1995,there was an upsurge of research on the impact of IPR protection on FDI inflows.However,the direction of IPR protection for FDI inflow has not yet formed a unified conclusion.Then,in the era of knowledge economy,what is the impact of IPR protection intensity and FDI inflow on jiang su,which is in the leading position in both economic development and innovation?Is there a big difference in IPR protection intensity and the impact of foreign capital inflow in different regions of Jiangsu Province?Therefore,the research on the impact of IPR protection on the nflow of regional FDI in Jiangsu Province has certain theoretical value and important practical significance for Jiangsu Province to further build an international business environment,make more active and effective use of foreign capital,and promote the construction of "strong,rich,beautiful and high" new JiangsuBased on the eclectic theory of international production and the theory of knowledge capital model,this paper mainly uses literature analysis and empirical analysis to study the mpact of IPR protection on FDI inflow in Jiangsu Province.First of all,according to the theory of OLI,this paper makes a theoretical analysis on how IPR protection affects FDI nflows,and the mechanism of IPR protection's impact on FDI inflows from the host country was explored.The study found that IPR protection would work together through the three advantages mentioned in the OLI theory.In order for multinational enterprise investment decision making,which affect the host country of FDI inflow.Secondly,it makes a descriptive analysis of the current situation of intellectual property protection and FDI inflow in Jiangsu Province,The analysis shows that:For FDI in Jiangsu Province,from the perspective of overall scale,the absolute amount of FDI actually used in Jiangsu Province is increasing year by year;From the perspective of industrial structure,FDI is unevenly distributed in the three ndustries,and the proportion of FDI used in the second industry is the largest;From the perspective of regional distribution,there is a big gap in the scale of FDI introduction in the three regions,showing "south high" The pattern of "low in the north".For the protection of intellectual property in Jiangsu Province,it is found that its legislative protection is advancing steadily at present,and at the same time,it is also increasing the enforcement and protection of intellectual property.The intensity of intellectual property protection in Jiangsu Province shows a gradual upward trend year by year,and there are differences in IPR protection intensity among the three regions.Southern Jiangsu is far higher than other regions.Thirdly,panel data regression model is used to analyze the impact of IPR protection on FDI inflow in Jiangsu Province.It is found that there is a significant positive correlation between IPR protection and FDI inflows in Jiangsu Province,which indicates that the smoothness of FDI inflows in Jiangsu Province will increase with the increasing IPR protection intensity.From a regional perspective,although there is still a positive correlation between IPR protection and FDI inflows in the three regions,there are differences in the correlation between the two regions,and intellectual property protection has the greatest positive impact on FDI inflows in Central Jiangsu.Finally,based on the research conclusion and analysis,the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward:First,we will strengthen intellectual property protection and continue to improve the business environment;Second,we will strengthen the awareness of intellectual property protection of enterprises and create a market environment for independent innovation;Third,we will improve the infrastructure construction and constantly expand the market scale;Fourth,we will implement classified measures to attract investment and improve the efficiency and quality of foreign capital utilization Quantity.
